I was able to secure the deal I wanted and was not pressured when "I had to go home and think about it". Fitzy is really nice and easy to do business with. I went to Honda Car of Boston to purchase my 4th Honda. I have dealt with the salesman, John Fizpatrick for my last couple of purchases, he is the best; I refer everyone I know that is looking for a car to I have dealt with the salesman, John Fizpatrick for my last couple of purchases, he is the best; I refer everyone I know that is looking for a car to go and see John. I have sent my sister, niece and daughter and they all purchased cars at this location. John worked with me to get the best price that I was happy with. I did not feel rushed or pressured into getting the deal over with. I also dealt with the GM, Dean Tally and the sales manager, Ben Crocker and with their team effort they exceeded my expectations and I left there extremely satisfied. Another reason for going to Honda Cars of Boston in Everett, MA is they have a phenomenal service department. I bring my car in and I am out in no time. They will tell me a job should be no more than 1 1/2 hours and I am done in 45 minutes. All of the staff I deal with are always courteous, friendly and make you feel like family. Thanks John!! Went to Honda Cars of Boston after visiting Gallery Honda (close to my house). Although the place looks like WW3 (construction), the staff is great and friendly. Found 2 quality used cars and was ready to bu (close to my house). Although the place looks like WW3 (construction), the staff is great and friendly. Found 2 quality used cars and was ready to buy, just needed to work on price. They matched Honda Gallery's mark for my trade value, which was fine. Personally, I would want to beat the competition on any mark, but I was okay with it. I was very reasonable about my trade, even though the car is worth more parted out then the offered. Accords hold value forever. Dean greeted me at the door and turned me over to Muhammad Ali. "MO" was great. I can honestly say that I wanted to buy a car from him just so he would get the commission. We went over cars and we saw 2 that we liked. We worked numbers on both to decide what was the better fit. He worked really hard and stayed late with us. I wanted to get the deal locked down before I left that night and pick up the car the next day. Now the less good stuff. I brought a comparison of the same car I decided on, a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L. The comparison was being sold at Kelly Honda in Lynn. The difference between the 2 was miles, 18000 vs. 36000. They often said that the difference in miles should make a big difference, but in reality it is worth maybe $1000. The fact is that the Kelly Honda Accord had regular expected mileage. The Honda Cars Boston Accord had low mileage. Well everyone knows that low miles does not always mean better car. If an older lady was using that car to go back and forth to the grocery store, then I would take the one that has highway miles on it all day. Regardless, they were stuck on price at $19,892 (the internet price). I didn't tell them that I knew that was the internet price, but I’m not as stupid as the managers though. If you are not willing to budge on the internet price, then what are the sales people and managers for? I could go right to the cashier at that point. I talked to "MO" about the one at Kelly Honda (exact same car except it was gray not white and the miles difference) and I told him that I preferred the gray car but had not seen it yet and to make me buy from them so I would not go to Kelly Honda. I showed him the print out of the gray Accord at Kelly Honda for $17,999. I showed him that they were $2000 more and would have to come down. The managers just loved that mileage thing and wouldn't budge. It didn't work out. I went to Kelly Honda and bought the gray Accord. The condition is just as good as Honda Cars of Boston. The staff at Kelly Honda was great and it pains me to say that when I get back from Afghanistan I will probably go there first to buy another Accord or something better new. I am pretty loyal and that is why I tried so hard to get the deal done at Honda Cars of Boston, where my wife bought her car. They respected that I was in the service and were great people, but in reality I bought the car from Kelly Honda for a better price. Pure and simple. Just one other thing, the sales managers pulled a carfax on the comparison car to try and claim something was not right with that car because it was too cheap. The car is in my driveway, certified, and in excellent shape. I would drive it to Honda Cars of Boston if I had time, but I fly back to Afghanistan tonight. DO NOT pull the carfax on someone else's vehicle if you didn't even give me the one for the car you are selling. They really tried to make it seem like there was something wrong with the other vehicle. All they had to do for the sale was come close to price matching. Also, don't say that you are giving me extra money for my trade. The car price is the car price, and the trade price is the trade price. You can get to a number however you want, but don't say that you are giving me extra money for my trade. I think I am more disappointed today with not being able to buy a car from "MO" because the excitement of the buying the car from Kelly Honda is not as fresh as it was yesterday. I don't want the impression to be that Honda Cars of Boston is bad or anything like that. I like the dealership, the service department is that best in MA, but I was not aware that the Internet Price is the final price, or that they would not come close to price matching. That is what happened to me. I wasted my time and I wasted their time. Especially Muhammad Ali, who I almost want to pay the commission out of my pocket. He really is a great man and sales person.
