Very rarely do I take the moment to reply to extremely negative reviews. You rarely win an argument with negative people. I acknowledge that every customer is entitled to their opinions and perceptions of their experiences with our company. However, it is important to be clear on some points of this transaction. McDonald Hyundai, in good faith ordered a $33K+ vehicle for this customer without charging them a deposit to do so. McDonald Hyundai reserved the vehicle for the customer and when the vehicle arrived our sales representative reached out MULTIPLE TIMES, both phone calls and texts, to this reviewer's personal cell phone for a week to let the customer know that the vehicle was in and ready for delivery. (all documented through the company's follow-up system) Numerous messages were left awaiting the customer to respond to arrange delivery. After a week of no communication from the customer we sold the vehicle to the next consumer on the list of those awaiting the same type of vehicle. It is not uncommon for consumers to change their mind on making a purchasing decision and not notify the dealership. When the customer finally did contact us the vehicle was already sold to the next in line. After the customer expressed that they were still interested in still getting a vehicle, McDonald Hyundai made arrangements to get the customer another vehicle. Again, with no deposit from the customer. Unfortunately, due to delays in shipping, the replacement arrived two weeks later than originally forecasted to arrive. No one in the dealership desired for this to occur as shipping concerns are paramount throughout the economy at this moment and all industries are subject to these delays. As soon as the vehicle arrived it was moved to the front of the line to be readied for delivery. McDonald Hyundai does not charge a market adjustment for any of its vehicles as is the practice currently taking place in the market. This customer wasn't charged a deposit, a premium or any extra fees above and beyond what is normal for any of our transactions. Yet, the customer claims that McDonald Hyundai is a "Stealership". When we OFFERED TO REFUND THEIR MONEY and they could buy their Hyundai elsewhere the customer declined. Hmmm... You can't steal from anyone if you offer to return their money. And definitely not the response you would expect from someone who feels they have had money stolen from them. At times it is best not to do business with some people. Further, today when our sales manager reached out to offer to rescind the contract, this customer threatened to use her employers relationship with Hyundai to extract from our dealership monetary concessions. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! We will not be leveraged by a malicious online review. In this instance, we would have preferred that the customer done business elsewhere. But, then again this is a case of "SELLER BEWARE". Vince Armijo General Manager

WOW! Instead of trying to smooth and defuse a difficult situation, it appears that you are doing little more than deflecting any wrongdoing and effectively calling your customer a liar. Not a great way to turn negativity into positivity! A few notes on your points. - Vince - It is always good to get your facts straight before weighing into a situation. Neither myself nor my husband have had any dealings with you. Not once have you reached out to discuss in person the issues that have arisen. Clearly your ‘team’ have fed you the information and you have gone with it. We appear to have spoken to everyone apart from you! - Regarding the deposit, or lack thereof. We were never asked to put one down and were told that it was not necessary. We were happy to pay one as and when asked. - My husband sent Allona an email on the 17th September updating her on both our cell phone numbers. He did not get a reply. He then followed up on the 23rd September. This time he got a reply and Allona noted that she would update the contact information. WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY FURTHER CALLS OR MESSAGES REGARDING THE CARS ARRIVAL. Even if there were calls (I would love to see these call logs) Allona had been in contact via email previously as noted above, why was no email sent? - Hyundai did nothing initially to source us a new car when the original one was passed to another customer. There was no interest on the part of our sales representative to fix the situation. My husband had to complain and it was Ray that then set about sourcing a new vehicle. So to be clear, only after complaining was anything done. - As for the extra charges. It is a FACT that the original quote on the old car was lower than the new one we have taken. When we raised this we were told that you do not control the costs and that there was nothing that could be done. (Derek) - We were indeed offered the opportunity to return the car. Why would we do that? The car is the one thing we like about this whole situation. If we wanted to walk away, we would have done that weeks ago when the original vehicle was sold from underneath us. Walking away would have left us carless for another extended period, which wasn’t an option. - Let’s be clear here. There has been a total lack of customer service and general professional courtesy here. It takes very little to offer some value or a good will gesture when things go wrong. (we got a bottle of water with your slogan ‘Doing it Right Comes Naturally’ printed on it - hmmm) We were not looking for big discounts, just the feeling that McDonald Hyundai cared about our business. Instead, we felt that if we didn't take the car then there were another ten people that would. If this is the way the McDonald Hyundai ‘team’ does business from the top down, then it is a real shame. Vince, we would love to discuss things in person, as opposed to this tit for tat, so feel free to reach out. You should now have our numbers.
