Not happy with used car request As much as I love the service department I cannot say the same for the sales department. I was recently involved in a car accident and needed to purchase a used car. I really wanted to go through McCurley as I had been a loyal customer for many years. I told the sales team that I was very cash poor at the moment and only had about $800 as a down payment and that my credit rating was not good, but nevertheless they gave me the impression it would be no problem to get me into a vehicle. I told them I didn't need anything fancy - just a good quality car to get me by. After they wasted a lot of my time they indicated to me that I would need to pay at least $6000 down. I was extremely disappointed. They tried to tell me it was the bank's problem, but I know darn well they could have approved everything if they wanted to. I was able to use my $800 at another dealership the very next day. Yes, I have a high interest rate and high payments but I was expecting that due to my bad credit rating. McCurley lost my business and I'm extremely happy with the new dealership. I was able to purchase a 2017 Nissan Versa. I'm pretty sure McCurley could have done better, but oh well. Too bad. I won't be going back. More
