Classic bait and switch crooks! Stay away! In fact, consider buying another brand of vehicle in order to avoid this dealership and the crooked salespeople there. The old classic "b Stay away! The old classic "bait and switch" is still the modis operandi at this dealership and they'll lie straight to your face whenever they need to in order to squeeze as much out of you as they can! What happened to me? I went in after talking with Wilmer Watson-Rodriguez, the internet sales manager, about a 2019 Ford F-150, that I was specifically interested in. When I got to the dealership I was passed off to Anthony Rivas and smoothly pushed towards a 2020 version of the truck, for a cool $6K more. I will admit that I wanted something specific and the 2019 wasn't spot-on, but I was never afforded the opportunity to even see it. Instead, I ended up buying the 2020 version, at full MSRP, less trade-in and some dealer add-ons at no-cost. I asked over and over whether that was the best price, did they not have an internet price, no additional dealer discount... anything. Nope, every person from Anthony Rivas to the finance manager lied straight to my face. Foolishly, I got into the vehicle but when I got home I had this feeling that something just wasn't right, so I checked the internet to see if my exact truck was there. I found it there on the site listed for lower than I even paid for it! This is illegal, it's a violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act! I was furious, and scared that I wouldn't be able to get out of the deal, to renegotiate it, and that it would take tons of time and effort to fix it all. So I researched and checked the statutes and case law and finally first-thing Monday I skipped out at the office and drove to San Antonio to get it fixed. Much to my surprise the guys in the "sales tower" weren't really all that bothered. They were willing to rewrite the deal, but still forced me to pay $500 for "dealer add-ons" that I had gotten for free before and took away the add-ons that I'd been promised before. I was relieved to be paying nearly $6K less for my vehicle, but every time I get in it I'm reminded of the smarmy tactics and illegality of the situation. To put a cherry on top of it, I keep getting automated requests for reviews from these guys, and every time they come I feel it's my civic duty to tell anyone reading this to RUN as fast as they can away from that dealership. Don't buy there, and don't let anyone you care about do it either. They've even called me asking me to change my reviews because Anthony Rivas won't get his entire bonus for the month because I'm an unsatisfied customer. Well, none of them should until they start operating in compliance with Texas state laws! Guess what I was offered in hopes of incentivizing me to change my review of the dealership: a car wash. I'd have to drive over 100 miles round-trip for a car wash? No thanks, guys, keep your car wash. If you want to offer me the dealer add-ons that we had in the original deal I'll take those. Otherwise, I'll continue to blast you every chance I get. More
