Service Advisor that I trust to work on my daughter's car Yesterday I drove to KC to take my daughter's car into the shop. It was having a possible security lock out issue. The gal that answered the phone was awesome, she got me scheduled quickly. Then I show up at the service bay. This is where I met Pedro Alvidrez. He is one of the Service Advisors. I told him what was going on, but of course the car was working fine since I was near a mechanic! Over the next 1.5 hours he worked with the service technician to trace down possible issue. Pedro even called my daughter and walked her through several questions to find more hints. He kept me updated about every 10-15 mins. He was working hard to get the car fixed as fast as possible, without costing a ton for unnecessary work. You can tell he enjoys his job, likes to help folks and goes the extra mile. This was the most impressive service I've had at any dealership. Pedro gave me a card and said, if this doesn't fix it, have my daughter call him and he will get her taken care of. As a father that's 3 hours away, when you find someone you can trust to fix your daughter's car, that PRICELESS. Thank You Pedro and McCarthy Chev for a classy service visit. More

Spent 3 hours there picking out a vehicle, then when it was time to deal with their finance people they were estimating high payments and interest. We left and went next door to Robert Brogden and they accommodated us immediately and just as i knew we left with a vehicle we were looking for with a LOW interest rate and payment. McCarthy was a waste of time. Their selection in used cars was not there either. I made sure everyone knew of my experience at my work place. #Unionemployee More

Very helpful and friendly service! I took my car in not knowing exactly what was wrong. It seemed to be shuttering when I accelerated and when driving in low gear. Scott listened as I e I took my car in not knowing exactly what was wrong. It seemed to be shuttering when I accelerated and when driving in low gear. Scott listened as I explained the trouble and called a technician so that he could take it for a drive to see what was the matter. As we waited for the technician, he also took a peek under the hood for me and discovered a possible issue with the cooling tank. He also showed me that my license plate bulbs had gone out. Scott explained that they would take it into the shop and take a closer look. He got a rental for me to drive as repairs were being made and showed me how to work the locks and how to use the push-button start. He also said that he would call with updates for me. He did follow up later to let me know that they would be replacing the transmission and that it was covered under the warranty! Yay! A few days later, he called to let me know that it was ready and that they replaced the cooling tank as well! Throughout the whole process, Scott was so patient and so friendly. I really appreciated how he explained things to me and how he followed up with me as well. He did an outstanding job! More
Estimate vs Actual on SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE = UNBELIEVABLE! Horrible service department. It was time for scheduled maintenance on my Camaro. I called them and asked for a price and what they would be doing. I w Horrible service department. It was time for scheduled maintenance on my Camaro. I called them and asked for a price and what they would be doing. I was told it was a major mileage hurdle and that it would be $1000 for everything that needed to be done. I made sure and asked that it would cover everything and was assured that it would unless they found anything outside the list of services that needed repaired. I scheduled the service and dropped off my car. I was told if they found anything additional they would call. No calls, except to tell me that my car was ready to be picked up. Imagine my surprise when I went to get my car and was met with a $1,600 bill for the scheduled maintenance. No added items, just what was expected. Then they lay out the BS... "well, your car takes more transmission fluid than we allow," and "our estimate didn't include disposal fees and taxes." "Oh, and we needed to spend some additional time tuning the engine." Really??? You don't know how much a car you service takes in the way of fluids? You don't know up front what the taxes and fees will be? 60% over their estimate and they didn't even have the decency to run it through their car wash. This service department is as bad as the moving companies that quote you low, pick up your stuff, and then refuse to give it back without paying considerably more. My next email is to Chevrolet. This service department is borderline criminal and doesn't represent the company well at all. STAY AWAY! More
