At the end of the day, I ended out buying a beautiful 2013 Mazda 3 for a screaming deal. It was cheaper than the used Mazda's I was looking at with 30k miles. Matt was unbelievable. I've been a customer of Elk Grove Mazda since it opened, and I've been a Mazda owner since 2003. I always loved the customer service in the service department and always found John Hennessy to be ve opened, and I've been a Mazda owner since 2003. I always loved the customer service in the service department and always found John Hennessy to be very helpful whenever my car needed an oil change or a repair. So when our 2004 Mazda 3 was totalled in an unfortunate accident, I went straight to John Hennessy and asked him to recommend a "no BS" salesman in the sales department. John immediately introduced me to Garrett Oxnaes and we hit it off immediately. I wanted to buy another Mazda 3 (the safety features on the 2004 were most impressive). He let me know what my options were, found a car for us immediately and always responded quickly to emails and calls. On the day we came into purchase the car, he immediately took us on a test drive and then walked us through the financing options, making sure we were comfortable (snacks & soda) and kept us informed of the process during the times when there are unavoidable waits (financing). We drove off the lot in our new car 3 hours later and we love the car. Garrett was an awesome sales person. He listened to what we said we wanted and did not try to sell us anything we did not need or want, which was really refreshing. He was also very good at teaching us the new features on our car. I came into your dealership last Memorial Monday evening and it was very busy inside; but I needed help. That is when Garrett kindly approached me, introduced himself and asked if I needed assistance. He accomindated me immediately and I didn't have to wait. We discussed my needs, identified the vehicle I wanted and did not go through any hassle what so ever in the price negotiation process. He was very professional, honest, and personable. This is the kind of treatment / service I expect when coming to any car dealership. We struck a deal. It was getting late and your service department was already closed. But Garrett was still able to get the car prepared and ready for me to take home that evening. The car was also low on gas and tire pressure. He brought me to the nearby gas station and personally filled the tank and inflated all four tires. It was already dark and also raining. This was very kind of him and much appreciated. Garrett invited me to come back this Saturday to fully go over the car's features, if I had any concerns, or needed any further help. It was my second pleasant experience today and I left happy and very satisfied. It is this level of service and treatment provided by Garrett that will make your dealership successful. Prior to coming to your dealership that afternoon, we were at the Subaru dealer across the street. My wife and I were test driving several models and we decided the one we wanted. During the negotiation process, it became very unpleasant for us and we left. It is OK if we cannot agree on a price, but for the salesperson to tell us that he could get more $ from the Car Max dealer than the price he was offering us was totally unacceptable and uncalled for. I came in thinking I was pre approved through a sister dealership. The pre approval did not transfer over. The first approval at Mazda was not what I wanted as far as terms. After some discussion Anthony was able to find an approval that although was more than originally wanted, was acceptable. Maverick showed me a few models around my target price and let me test drive one I had my eye on. He was very professional and patient when helping me with my decision. He was less concerned with selling a car and more on making sure I was happy with my visit which was great. I was later shown new 2013 models which he said was around my price range. I ended up buying a car that very same day and visit. I was able to get a great deal on my new Mazda3 and was extremely pleased with the professional and polite manners of employees at Elk Grove Mazda. I expected my visit to be a painful and annoying one but it was instead quite the opposite. More

I hated (in the past with car dealers) the experience of being entertained in a phoney way while the numbers were being crunched. My experience with Mazda Dealership and salesman: Garrett Oxnaes was refreshingly easy going, swift, smooth and relaxing. I spent the typical 4 + hours there and had not had any dinner , yet I did not mind. Normally , I would get impatient, ansy and tired and just say "I have to go now", but my experience with the Mazda dealership and salesman, Garret was great. I was introduced to other salesmen who were very polite and greeted me. I appreciated the education of loans, etc by my salesman. I was professionally informed of all the dealer offers to customers. I feel confident that should I not understand how to work something with my new Mazda3, I can easily get in touch with the dealer (which is a mere mile from my work) or my salesman and not feel guilty for asking the simpliest of questions. They honestly gave me the feeling they want to continue the salesman/customer relationship. I do not have the sense "ok, we sold you a car now be on your way". I am a single woman with minimal knowledge of technology, so I do appreciate the welcoming attitude they provided to me. Salesman Garret Oxnaes is a sincere and honest and easy going salesman.
