I was doing some online Mazda 3 i Touring Sedan Skyactive research, contacted then visited a few dealerships in the Central Valley and Sacramento County areas. 4 were weeded out due to varying customer servi research, contacted then visited a few dealerships in the Central Valley and Sacramento County areas. 4 were weeded out due to varying customer service issues (ie: poor attitude, misleading ways to get me to visit) and 2 for higher pricing with little incentives to buy that fit my life. Regardless, my opinion is that the staff at Elk Grove Mazda should be rated in the top 5 Northern California dealerships, truly. Vu and Alex are very knowledgeable about the car line up, pricing levels, available options, and other details that are required of their positions. Danielle was also professional, humorous and she had excellent people skills. All 3 are down to earth, they listened well to my specifications and they didn't pressure me to visit nor follow up with them via telephone. I think they realize I have enough common sense to contact them in person if planning to purchase. Then again, other people request reminder follow ups, which is fine. I just wanted to provide this review in advance because I feel these opinions are as important as the ones from customers who actually purchase a Mazda vehicle. I have decided to purchase a Mazda car from 1 of 2 favorite dealers, I'm just awaiting clarified final options and it's zoom zoom time! If you purchase a vehicle from Elk Grove Mazda, I can state from my experience that the 3 people I mentioned above will not disappoint your shopping trip. More
I brought my car in because of a check-engine light, and the guys at Elk Grove Mazda took care of it quickly and professionally. I dropped it off Monday night after closing, received a call from Josh early Tuesday confirming that I had dropped it off and also wanted my 7,500 mile maintenance service performed while it there at the dealership, and it was all taken care of a few hours later without any surprises. In my recent search for a car I first met/chatted with Karen online. She was easy to chat with and very courteous and not pushy but informative. After chatting with her online I couldn't help but want to make a trip to the dealership to work with her. My wife works for a dealership so I pretty much know how the ins and outs of buying a car. Normally, I would buy through this dealership, as I would get the best deal possible, however they don't sell the type of vehicle I was looking for. I really wasn't completely sure of what I wanted but I did know some specifics in the car I was looking for. I literally searched several hours (sometimes all day on my off days from work) of every day for over a month. I have visited numerous dealerships from Tracy to Roseville (I live in Lodi) and spoken with probably over 50 salesman/saleswoman. Needless to say I have done my research. After everyone I've dealt with and even salesman that I know personally from my wife's dealership I have to say that Karen is the one person I would love to purchase a car from. I can't tell you how many times that I told my wife that I just wanted to drive up there and get a car from her because she is so good and easy to work with. Obviously in this profession there are good sales people, bad sales people, and very bad sales people and she is definitely among the best. All in all I did end up buying a car from a private party. It was an extremely great deal but not what I really wanted, however I couldn't pass it up. I did sincerely thank Karen for all of her work and tell her that I intend to come directly to her first and foremost for any future car purchases (probably next year as I will pass this car on to my son and need a new one...and I will get what I want this time...lol). I will HIGHLY recommend her to any and everyone as she represents the type of sales person that everyone would like to buy from. I look forward to many years of continued purchases through her. We searched online for local MazdaSpeed dealers in our area. Elk Grove Mazda/Nissan was our closest dealer that had the model of Speed 3 that we wanted in stock. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Robbi area. Elk Grove Mazda/Nissan was our closest dealer that had the model of Speed 3 that we wanted in stock. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Robbie. He was very polite and friendly with a very relaxed attitude. We never felt pressured by Robbie during any part of the sales process. He knew that we had done our homework on the car that we purchased. He was very informative and upfront with us. He worked hard to get the financing and the price that we wanted. So much, in fact, that we only paid a small amount of money above a used model of the same car that CarMax had. I can't begin to tell you how pleased we were with the whole experience. Robbie even came in on his day off to finish up the deal and close out the sale! It even turns out, he is the neighbor to some of our relatives...small world! We even had a great experience with Jim in the parts department. He got us setup with a "clear bra" appointment with his outside vendor and was very helpful, calling me for a followup to make sure the appointment was still going to work. The Mazda CX-9 was on my list of top-rated CUVs to check out before making a purchase decision. From the moment I arrived at the dealership I was treated by everyone with courteous professionalism. Everyone made sure I had the help and attention I needed. Since I'd arrived unexpectedly my Internet sales rep, Randy, wasn't available so Sang took me on my first test drive and answered all my questions without any pressure to make a sale that day. That was much appreciated and certainly different from the typical sales pressure at the other dealerships I visited. Surprising myself, I fell in love with the CX-9 but still needed to try other cars to make sure. Ultimately, I made 3 trips to Elk Grove Mazda. Randy and Sang were always patient, courteous and professional during each test drive, my myriad questions and, finally, the sale. All without aggressive sales tactics. In fact, everyone I dealt with at the dealership is courteous and professional! They made my whole buying experience a pleasure! Thank you all, especially Randy and Sang! Great people! this is the second time ive had to leave a negative review of this dealership. the first time i took my car in for an oil change and to make a long story short they had my motor torn down 3 times, repl review of this dealership. the first time i took my car in for an oil change and to make a long story short they had my motor torn down 3 times, replaced parts thats didnt need replacing,would not let me have my old parts (saying theuy had to send them to the factory)-- i actually have no idea just how many parts were switched out. they had my car for a month,put a thousand miles on it, and gave it back to me with the black tape around newer cars' window frames all scratched up,and all my glass has hundreds of scratches in them, and i now have an oil leak. mind you i bought this car certifies w/ just 24k on it and had only put about 18k on it when i took it to ELK GROVE MAZDA. i had seen a young kid washing cars in a stall out back of the nissan dealership, where mazda has their work done. he was using an abrasive garage rag. i immediatly went to john and told him not to wash my car.i detail cars and have a "no touch" approach to cleaning. i asked him to write in on the work order but he told me that was unnecessary. the BAR is now involved. John hennessey told my agent he "doesnt remember" me telling him not to wash it. fortunately i re-visited the subject with him several times, once with a tape recorder in my pocket, and once while a friend was standing there listening after giving me a ride to the shop for a courtesy vehicle. i went in for a simple oil change, and was hearing a tiny rattle for just a second at start-up until the oil circulated. turns out thats normal because its still there and has been since i bought it. john hennesey told me i could take my car wherever i want and have the tape fixed, as i was no longer interested in having my car serviced here, and elk grove mazda WOULD PAY THE BILL.... until i brought it to them. Then they said they wouldnt pay. my car is now leaking oil from what i believe to be the crank seal. they replaced all my seals on the motor, put new injectors in, and did something to make the car run better than ever.... like possibly increasing the boost from the turbo, or larger injectors. what this means if in fact thats what they did the next time i go to smog my car it will not pass.no speed6's pull to the redline off the lot. its a common problem with all of them. when i got mine back it pulled all the way to the redline, thus my suspicions of extra boost or different injectors. i bought this car for 1 reason. it was a rare car i thought may be collectable in the future. now its trashed and they refuse to pay to have it fixed, but expect me to be stupid enough to take my car to them again after what happened last time. I IMPLORE YOU TO FIND A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. these people ALL lie, with a friendly smile on their face. Actually sounds like a typical dealership. not so. this place is REALLY BAD. never HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE. i wouldnt buy a car from here for half price either. i have better things to do than sit here and write this long review to let people know.Its my duty as a decent human being. Dont let them do to you what they have done to me. More

I felt he genuinely worked for the BEST deal I could get and he made sure I was 100% satisfied. He made the buying process fast too! He even followed me home in my other car. When I got home I discovered my front door was WIDE open. I was very concerned to learn this! He was concerned too and followed me into my house to make sure there wasn't a break in and I was safe! I really appreciated that! I have bought new cars from other dealerships. Elk Grove Mazda is by far the best experience I had in buying a new car! I recommend this dealership and Ron as your dealer! We already own a Mazda CX9 and we wanted to replace our second car. We had other options but stopped by to check out the Mazda6.
