We do not live close to a mazda dealer, so we looked at a couple. what drove us to Elk Grove was mainly Garrett's prompt call and inquiry about what we were looking for. Matt was awesome!! Garrett was so helpful! While he was thorough and persuasive, he never once crossed the line by being pushy or impolite in any way, and we have very high standards! We did not come to the dealership to buy, but came with the intention of looking only. However, Garrett's thorough approach, his hard work on our behalf (he truly did everything possible to get the best possible deal for us), and his courteous, smart, and friendly yet professional demeanor impressed us so much. Of course, we love our car--the Mazda 3! Garrett truly knows his products, which helped us to decide to make the purchase as well. Similarly, Grant Saige did a great job in finance for us. I bought a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback last week with the help of Ratish Singh. I couldn't find the color and interior trim that I wanted in the bay area so I went to Mazda USA and located it in Elk Grove. I ha of Ratish Singh. I couldn't find the color and interior trim that I wanted in the bay area so I went to Mazda USA and located it in Elk Grove. I had two other dealers tell me that the combination I wanted wasn't available any place on the west coast. This wasn't the case. Ratish confirmed for me they had the car and using email and phone we agreed on a price. Some dealers won't even do that -- they want you to come in person before they will negotiate. I think that puts the buyer at a disadvantage and means more time spent in the showroom. This is already a very time intensive process. Ratish gets high ratings from me for customer service, his helpful explanation of the car's features - including setting up the electronics - and his post sale follow up. He's friendly and appears to love his job. He speaks highly of his manager, Joseph Vo, and together they came up with an attractive price for me. Dave Hildago went through the paperwork as quickly as one can and offered but didn't pressure me on the maintenance and extended warranties. I'd suggest researching those before you come in to buy. I hadn't done this. Compared to the local dealers I visited in Redwood City and San Jose, Elk Grove offers better prices, better customer service, has an attractive showroom and a large inventory. I would give them 5 stars across the board if they could only figure out how to get a customer in and out in an hour. Even with the negotiation being done before I walked in the door, it took a few hours for me to check out the car, sign the papers, and get out the door. I can't comment on the service dept -- they offer free car washes and oil changes which I thought would be a great extra if I lived closer. More

We came to the dealership to look at a used car we found on the Nissan Website. Before arriving to the Nissan/Mazda dealership, we stopped at the Honda dealership to checkout what they had. We were greate on the Nissan Website. Before arriving to the Nissan/Mazda dealership, we stopped at the Honda dealership to checkout what they had. We were greated at the Honda dealership by a "typical used car salesman" with the Hawaiian shirt and gold necklace...immediately got the run around and we left. It was refreshing to pull up to the Mazda/Nissan dealership next and be greeted by Jaik. He was professional, non pressure, and helpful through the entire buying process. He showed us the car we were interested in as well as other cars in our price range. No run around. We also worked with Dave Lewis who was amazing and helped us get a great price and consider all of our buying options. Both of these guys were top notch.
