When I was looking for a Mazda CX-5 this dealership had exactly what I was looking for. I initiated this transaction as an online transaction due to the amount of travel which was 3 hours away. I worked exactly what I was looking for. I initiated this transaction as an online transaction due to the amount of travel which was 3 hours away. I worked with Garrett who was prompt to respond to my online request and the negotiation process was very easy. He went into detail about the vehicle plus he inquired if there were any questions I had about the vehicle plus any accessories I might be interested in. When I arrived at the dealership he made sure that all add-ons were installed on the vehicle and the financing was in place. I would like to thank Garrett for the pleasant experience. More
I typically buy new cars, so this experience was educational. I went through the Costco auto buying program for used vehicles. I can't say that was as easy as I expected. I felt like I had to " educational. I went through the Costco auto buying program for used vehicles. I can't say that was as easy as I expected. I felt like I had to "strong arm" our sales person in order to see the Costco pricing sheet. After I showed him the email Costco sends he decided to get a manager. I was not aware that when you purchase used you may only get one key to your newly purchased vehicle. (I am used to getting two keys and a valet key....). I'm still waiting for a call back to get the cost of another key.... They definitely don't offer any of the perks of buying a new car, full tank of gas, maybe a free something... Oh wait, they did give us a bag and a coupon book, and a free oil change. I must say, the warranty was what made the sale... Both sales and finance were nice, I'm probably just spoiled... More
I had an excellent experience buying my new Mazda 6 from Elk Grove Mazda. Matt Heidrich was an amazing sales representative and made the whole car buying process very easy. He was informative and helpful wi Elk Grove Mazda. Matt Heidrich was an amazing sales representative and made the whole car buying process very easy. He was informative and helpful without adding any pressure to me to make a quick or hasty purchase. He simply gave the best offer he could, answered any questions I had and let me figure out the rest. The financing and processing of paperwork was also very smooth. Ron Kostusak helped make everything clear and easy to understand while filling out the many necessary forms. On top of everything, all the employees at the dealership were friendly and cheerful. I would recommend that anyone looking to buy a vehicle visit this dealer! Sincerely, Aron Bishop More
This was the 13th time I've purchased a new car. To compare this experience to the previous 12 would be like comparing an Air Force F-16 fighter jet in a dogfight with a field of single engine Cessna p compare this experience to the previous 12 would be like comparing an Air Force F-16 fighter jet in a dogfight with a field of single engine Cessna private airplanes. In other words, there is no comparison. I noticed they were voted #1 in some KCRA survey. I concur. Specifically: Anthony, the sale mgr, was straight foreword. I'm not naive enough to believe the game wasn't rigged (he IS trying to sell a car), but it was subtle enough as to be undetectable. I enjoyed working with him. Garrett was more about showing us the car's features than making a sales pitch which led, ironically, to an easy sell. Can't say enough about Grant, the finance guy. True story: When he told us "there's only one paper left to sign." I blurted out "Grant, this has been so enjoyable can't you find something else for us to go over and sign?" I also want to mention sales guy Ratish Singh. There were three sales types working that day, including Garrett and Ratish, but only one, Garret,t was going to make any $ off me. All three were busy yet Ratish went out of his way more than once to ask if he could get us water or soda. There's more I could write but I'd rather take the new car out for a spin. Ciao! More
Our experience with Shailene was great! She was very helpful and very low pressure in her sales technique. She spent a lot of time with us and was very receptive to all of our demands and questions. O helpful and very low pressure in her sales technique. She spent a lot of time with us and was very receptive to all of our demands and questions. Overall it was a real delight working with her. The reason I gave a lower score than 5 on both quality of work and price has nothing to do with Shailene. The Honda Accord we purchased had over 100,000 miles on it yet the timing belt maintenance was not done on the vehicle. The service department did not address this problem, nor were we informed that this would have to be done and would be close to a $1500 expense on top of the price we were already paying. Effectively, the price of the car was raised $1500 as soon as we signed on the bottom line. I understand "buying as is" and "buy at your own risk", but I would think that a dealership that prides itself on customer service and return business would be a little more forth coming. I felt a little "taken" by the whole process. That being said, I still feel that the over-all experience was very good and working with Shailene was wonderful. More
My wife and I have worked with Garrett Oxnaes for several weeks to research and ultimately purchase a Mazda 6. Garrett was fantastic to work with and patient with all our questions and gave us a great deal weeks to research and ultimately purchase a Mazda 6. Garrett was fantastic to work with and patient with all our questions and gave us a great deal on the car we chose. We had a few unexpected "emergencies" this month and missed several appointments with Garret. He was very understanding and patient. Likewise, Garret provided a very good presentation of the car and answered all our questions a few special requests. Everyone at Mazda of Elk Grove was extremely helpful. We highly recommend this dealership over the others in the area and hope to purchase our next car with Garret from Mazda of Elk Grove. More
I am very satisfied with the overall service received from Mazda of Elk Grove. Grant was extremely professional and efficient and made the end of the process smooth and fast. Garrette was a great help as from Mazda of Elk Grove. Grant was extremely professional and efficient and made the end of the process smooth and fast. Garrette was a great help as well. However, I did feel a difference when buying a USED car versus a NEW car. I felt that more priority and attention was given to those buying new cars vs used cars. I think all customers should be treated the same regardless if they are purchasing a new or used vehicle. Also, staff should be allowed to use cellphones only for work purposes and not for personal use. Apart from these little glitches, Mazda of Elk Grove is a great place to buy a car. Most of their staff is great, friendly and helpful. More
My experience with Mazda of Elk Grove and Garrett, the salesman, could not have gone better. I live in Reno and originally decided on the Mazda 6 Grand Touring after test driving it at our local dealershi salesman, could not have gone better. I live in Reno and originally decided on the Mazda 6 Grand Touring after test driving it at our local dealership, as well as researching it on my own. Amazingly enough I had a hard time getting the local dealership to call me back. I had done a request for a quote online and originally thought all the calls might be annoying, that was until I talked to Garrett. He called me three times on his day off to answer my questions and let me know when he would be able to get the exact car that I wanted. He was very professional as well as friendly. I felt he went above and beyond what I would typically expect. Garrett's great help, as well as knowledge about the car, made me consider purchasing from him. What made my decision final was how well he negotiated a great price and made the three hour trip more than worth it for me and my wife. After the local dealership finally gave me some time on the phone, they called me all day long trying to get me to change my mind and purchase from them. They could not even come close to the professionalism, care, and price that Garrett gave me. Garrett even extended the warranty to 100,000 miles through their dealership. When we arrived at Elk Grove I was introduced to the sales manager, as well as other salesmen and the finance manager. Everyone was very nice and professional, and I could tell they really enjoyed working there. My wife and I were very impressed with how enjoyable the entire experience was from beginning to end, not to mention the car is absolutely incredible. I would higly recommend a Mazda, this dealership, and especially Garrett, to anyone. More
