My original decision was to get the mazda3, being the practical person I am, but more about the service. Garrett was the person whom I started my Journey with, and I must say, I felt like I was family. He heard me out and did his best accommodate what I wanted, nothing else. He didn't try to push any other sales on, he knew what I wanted, and only wanted to serve to that. He went above and beyond to make my situation work, and worked every angle with every person he could possibly to get me what I wanted (and of course a sale, business is business) I highly, and i mean highly recommended that if you're interested in a Mazda, that you search out for Garrett, he extremely patient and humble and will work with you in the bar possible way. More

I expected this experience to go like all other car dealerships, very nice up front, then after a while they start trying to pressure you into closing the deal, they just want to make the sale and it's got nothing to do with you. This place was completely the opposite!!! They were very welcoming, understanding and they very gladly and without complaint answered all of my questions (unlike other places). They are very willing to work with you to achieve what it is you got there to accomplish . You can truly tell that customers are THE priority here, it is much more than just making a sale. As an out-of-state buyer who could not personally visit Northern California Mazda Dealerships, I did extensive research on them and eliminated any that didn't have great reviews on Yelp, Google, and Dealer Review. Those left I contacted by phone about buying a new 2016 Mazda Mx-5, which was just released and making its way to dealerships in dribs and drabs. Two other of the No. Cal Dealers promised me specific cars and then, after much e-mail correspondence with assurances by me that I had cash and would make an immediate purchase, and promises by them that the car was mine, either sold the car to someone else or informed me that the car did not have the specifications that I had told them that I wanted. Elk Grove Mazda provided me with one of the best car buying experiences I've had in fifty years of purchasing cars. It was all anyone could ask for. They identified a car that had been promised to them by Mazda that was exactly what I was looking for. It had not yet been manufactured so they kept me informed of its progress every step of the way, through the factory, to shipping, to arrival at port of entry, to their show room. Salesman Ratish Singh initially responded to my inquiry and informed me that the car I wanted was available and I followed up by dealing directly with Sales Manager Grant Salge. Both were very knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt in responding to my communications. They took a deposit from me, that the other dealers would not do, and honored their commitment. One of the things that really impressed me about Elk Grove Mazda was how knowledgeable their people were about the MX-5. I do extensive research about cars that I am prepared to buy and usually find that I know far more about the car than the salespeople do. Not so this time. When we arrived to pick up the car Ratish went over all of the extensive bells and whistles that the GT model has to be sure that we were familiar with how to operate them. The dealer had also made certain that the car was freshly detailed before we arrived. In addition to the wonderful buying experience, I should note that Elk Grove Mazda provides extra perks that other dealers do not: their own extended warranty on certain basic parts, life time free car washes at their own car wash, and some others that I can't recall. Out-of-State buyers should be aware that California DMV does not require a Manufacturers' Certificate of Origin (the equivalent of the initial title on a car) in order to register and title a car, so, unlike most States, the MCO does not come with the car but has to be ordered from Mazda once the dealer sells the car. It took us about seven days to get the MCO. Some States allow a temporary permit with just the Bill-of-Sale, check your State's requirements. More

I wanted to purchase a "Soul Red" Mazda3 Hatchback but the bad experience I had at another dealership in another town put me in such a bad mood that when I test drove the car I was so disappointed with the way it drove we went in search for something else. We spent two whole days test driving car after car at several different dealerships and finally settled on a different brand of car that looked similar to the Mazda I so wanted. We were headed back to purchase the other car when we decided we should give the Mazda another test drive to be sure that it wasn't the car for us. When Garrett approached us we told him just that. He didn't hesitate to help us out with one last shot. His easy no-nonsense, no pressure & accommodating attitude put us right at ease. While we were driving the car we realized how much fun the car was and how relaxed Garret made us feel, it felt nothing like the first test drive at the other dealership. I was so excited to think I could get the car I wanted. As we started to negotiate the deal Garrett also educated us on a more creative way to get a brand new car in our budget! Nowhere else seemed to care about our budget, they just wanted to up-sell us. Thank you Garrett! Our Finance Manger, Julian Gonzalez was pleasant, fast & knowledgeable. kyle is a service rockstar! I've been coming here for the past two years for regular maintenance,I live near Roseville and drive all the way down here for service. Kyle has always been a pleasure to work with, knowing that my mileage is getting really up there (153k) I expected that the day would come that I would have a large repair. Well it happened last week. I called kyle 10 min before closing. He was very helpful as I was kinda freaking out. I was on the side of the road and he told me not to drive it as the AT light and Check engine light were flashing. He helped me through the after hours tow procedure as I've never done that before. I left a note on the car and he called me bright and early the next morning as I instructed. Turns out the brain for the transmission went at the cost of a grand. He was extremely helpful giving me updates on what was going on. I wasn't sure if I should write the car off or replace it. He was helpful in advising to repair it ect. These guys are great, they never ever try to upsale me or push other services that is the reason I keep coming back. If the car doesn't need it, they don't recommend it. More

A Dealership Transaction Without the Pain I purchased my 2016 Mazda CX-3 from Mazda of Elk Grove about a month ago and Steve was my sales person. I explained to him that I wanted to spend as I purchased my 2016 Mazda CX-3 from Mazda of Elk Grove about a month ago and Steve was my sales person. I explained to him that I wanted to spend as little time in the dealership as possible. We did all of our negotiation and arrangements over the phone and via email except for the final signing of the papers, which he coordinated and scheduled so I would spend as little time at the dealership as possible. He also went out of his way to give me a fair deal on my trade-in as well as negotiating a good price for my new car. I wanted red and there were none to be found as this model just arrived in California like the week before. But he did his best to look for one and I did end up with my Soul Red Metallic CX-3. Other dealerships that I had contacted to try to purchase my new car were less than helpful and either unresponsive or very slow to respond. Steve responded to all of my emails and telephone calls promptly. His first email to me went to my spam folder so I thought I had another unresponsive dealership, but that was my mistake. The last time I purchased a car through a dealership, it was a long and drawn out nightmare. Overall, this was a mostly smooth transaction and I would recommend Steve and Mazda of Elk Grove to my friends and family. More
