As we understand how upsetting it is to run into transmission issues with a vehicle, please understand why this is not something we would have been able to prevent. When you first brought your vehicle into Mazda of Bedford (for the first time), you requested us to check the starter, shifter, and radio issue. We were able to replace a fuse for the radio, and cleaned wiring in relation to the starting issue. At this point you already had the Starter serviced and replaced multiple times by another shop. During that visit we completed a full circle inspection. We found that you needed motor mounts, substantial suspension work (front & rear), and brake work. These were all decline by you, and an oil change was completed. We did also check the transmission fluid and levels, and everything looked good for the vehicle. On your second visit to us, we suggested an inhibitor switch to be replaced for the starter problem, which was declined. We also, free of charge, cleaned some additional corroded wires and provided a free loaner vehicle. On your last visit, the vehicle was towed in due to the transmission. Transmissions are tested n fluids and a road test. With a vehicle that is 10 years old and had over 150k miles, it is not something we can predict.
