Went in to lease a Mazda at Mazda of Lodi in October and this Sales Manager Jovany was amazing. Very patient, explained all the options and I feel I got the best deal. He offered my kids drinks and let them watch TV so that I can concentrate on the deal. Drove home the same day with my new Mazda. My monthly payments are exactly what I could afford - he kept within my budget. It was the most stressful and painless car buying experience I've ever had. I'll return my car at Mazda of Lodi anytime. More
i purchase a mazda 3 from them 2 years ago. i was just going to purchase the lease this weekend. when i took the lease on i told the sales rep and finance manager that i wanted to buy the car at the end o going to purchase the lease this weekend. when i took the lease on i told the sales rep and finance manager that i wanted to buy the car at the end of the lease and wanted to know all the fees at the end of the lease. they stated to me - buyout price, sales tax, dmv and doc fee. a little over $1k for the car. i said great. When i went to purchase the care this past weekend july 2010. they raised the fees to over $2500!! while i was speaking with them the manager jeff hung up on me. i called back and then lance hung up on me. DONT GO THERE!! GO TO ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP. My mazda is good - you can buy your lease out from any other dealership - you dont have to go there! How they can do business that way is wrong and unjust. i have reported them to better business bureua. More

I was yelled at and told that I could not be helped with turning in my end of Lease on a Saturday morning when there were no customers just a bunch of sales man in the showroom doing nothing !!! Giovanni, turning in my end of Lease on a Saturday morning when there were no customers just a bunch of sales man in the showroom doing nothing !!! Giovanni, said he would text Glen the owner to see if he would make an exception. He came up to me with his cell phone, put it in my face and showed me that the owner texted him back "NO!!! Tell her to leave and come back on Monday." I would never recommend this dealership to anyone please do not go. If the ownwer doesn't even care about his customers why would the sales people care! Also I want to add that I was seriously considering purchasing my vehicle but I was very upset that they wanted to charge me $999.99 to ground my vehicle and then they said I would be able to buy it out. I called Mazda American Credit and asked about the fee and I was told that there is no such fee! When I told the sales rep at Mazda of Lodi, He told me Mazda American Credit has nothing to do with them! This really made no sense to me. I didn't feel comfortable with the situation so thats why I didn't purchase my vehicle More
I would wish to recommend this dealership only to my enemies or those who have cash to throw out without regards to the final price. Matt was one of the dealerships that contacted me to urge me to co enemies or those who have cash to throw out without regards to the final price. Matt was one of the dealerships that contacted me to urge me to consider buying my Mazda 5 from their dealership. All in all, from his voice message he left, he sounded like he was a genuine good guy with the best of intentions. Little did I know how wrong I was. When I set up a time on a Saturday afternoon to go to the dealership I should have just skipped out altogether given the few people I saw stopping by on such a busy road. Still I took a chance and got a chance to sit down with Matt. I already did alot of research on the Mazda 5 I wanted and what I was expecting to pay. When he sat me down before even discussing the price he was going to give me, he became a drone and started taking down every possible information about what I was looking for, how much I made, and if I was going to throw in my car as a trade-in. Little did I know that this was all a ploy to give him some leverage in negotiations. A word to the wise - if a dealer starts asking you all this information and writing it down.......walk away. Being the first car I would ever decide to purchase, it was a learning experience. His little cube was set very humble with a picture of him and his daughter(?). I was with my cousin who was familiar with these tactics to make it feel like he's an upstanding person looking to fool you into a false sense of security. When he returned after discussing with his boss and using some formula I won't understand, he gave me the manufacturer's price. Right off the bat, I knew I made a wrong choice in coming here. If he thought he could get away at charging me the full price WHICH I already researched and NOBODY pays for that car, he was dead wrong. I think he soon realized that when I chuckled at that price. Matt tried to feed me some bull about this is a good deal and I wouldn't have ANY of it. After that he went back to pull some numbers out of his rear with his manager and brought back the infamous "invoice" price the dealership paid for the car. He said he'd be fired for showing me that price and NO OTHER DEALERSHIP would show me this piece of magical paper. Another piece of bullshit that I already knew about after visiting a previous dealership who showed me the EXACT same piece of paper. Funny thing is when I questioned him about some of the numbers he didn't know anything about it, but I was already informed. (There is a supposed price that dealer employees pay for and another price that manufacturing employees pay for) Needless to say, I was ready to walk out and he should've known better to stop his false "best intentions". Humoring him a bit I asked what would be my "out the door" price after all this is said and done with taxes and fees. I already knew about the title fees and maybe a dealership fee but then he threw in a windows etching fee that's "required by NJ law". If they say this, instantly call bullshit. I didn't believe it and after leaving I did my own research on car laws and this is NOT required. Lies upon lies, I was exhausted and I was fed up with this crap I was being fed. When his manager, Mike came over as a last ditch attempt to gain my business, he was less than friendly and was obviously not happy that I was trying NOT to get ripped off. Maybe because HE was ripped off from the manufacturer or he wasn't happy with making just a couple hundred dollars, I dunno. When he asked what price I was willing to settle for I just threw out a made up number just to get out of there. After sharing his statement "I should be ashamed of myself" for trying to deceive the dealership. That to me says plenty about this dealership. Maybe Matt is a nice guy, and maybe he was pressured by his stern boss to get the "best" deal out of his customers. Either way, if he was more up front about it, I may have considered it, but business is business. You play your cards wrong and get called out and what's done is done. Needlessly to say, after this experience I would NEVER go back here and watch out for these "I'm your friend" tactics. More

This is my second Mazda - leased a CX7 from Wayne Mazda 3 years ago, went back to turn in vehicle and lease CX9. Wayne took my deposit, promised me the vehicle in 3 days and after 2 weeks of me calling them years ago, went back to turn in vehicle and lease CX9. Wayne took my deposit, promised me the vehicle in 3 days and after 2 weeks of me calling them (because they weren't even professional enough to follow-up with me) they then told me that they didn't know when they could get my specific vehicle - in the meantime they had my money. I went online to request a quote from Lodi and Lance called me within a couple hours - that evening I had the exact car I was looking for at the price I wanted. Lance had me in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. I will NEVER go to Wayne again and will definitely recommend Lodi to anyone who is looking to get into a Mazda vehicle. I love my new CX9!!! Thanks Lance! More
Stay away from Mazda of Lodi. They are out to grab your money and lie to your face. I took my car in today for an air conditioning repair that I thought would be covered under the "bumper to bumper". Th money and lie to your face. I took my car in today for an air conditioning repair that I thought would be covered under the "bumper to bumper". This is how they call it. I have maintained my car according to the Mazda book recommendations (this is my third Mazda)and the car is under the 50k. Right away the manager makes you sign a waiver indicating that if the repair in question is due to your actions, you are responsible for a $150 diagnostic fee. The guy explained to me this meant if I drove the car into a sinkhole or something like that. Fine, I thought, and signed. Well, that's how they get you. This Jeff comes back an hour later with a $150 bill indicating that it was my fault the air conditioning stopped working and flooded my car! And he says this with a straight face. I debated him and then he tells me he consulted with his superior and they both agreed. When I asked him to speak with his superior he says he's actually his own boss so I should call Mazda Corporate and gives me a 800 number. I was there during lunch time and there was nobody there buying cars and only two other customers in "service". He did not even dry my car so I really don't khnow if he even fixed the problem. Some service. So I will take this up with "Corporate Mazda" and will never set foot again in this place. Do not bring your car here. If you must, don't sign anything they put in front of you. They must be desperate if this is how they treat people. More
Following a disturbing experience at Ramsey Mazda (see reviews), we visited Mazda of Lodi and had a great experience with Glen and Lance. We briefly described the situation that occurred at Ramsey regard reviews), we visited Mazda of Lodi and had a great experience with Glen and Lance. We briefly described the situation that occurred at Ramsey regarding our potential lease of a CX9 and Glen and Lance quickly gave us a price on a lease deal. We decided to lease the CX9 there and the experience was much more positive than the Ramsey experience. Lance and Glen were professional, friendly and courteous and seemed to give us the best deal which was much better than the proposed deal/debacle at Ramsey. I would highly recommend to anyone to use this dealership and please read my review of Ramsey and stay away!!! More
Here's the thing.. if you do your research ahead of time and don't rely on rely on the salesmen for every single detail, your experience should be just fine. I came after 8 pm on a Monday night, dealt with and don't rely on rely on the salesmen for every single detail, your experience should be just fine.
