Then I checked availability and pricing for 2015 and 2016 Foresters online and made the decision to visit Flow Subaru in Burlington. A smiling and enthusiastic Dray Daiber met my daughter and me when we stepped out of the car, despite the damp, cold weather. I was not looking for specific features; a good deal was more important to me as I look toward retiring in a couple of years, and I particularly wanted to take advantage of the 1.99% financing they were advertising for new 2015 vehicles. One of the first Foresters I checked out was a 2015 Demo with less than 700 miles and so many features I loved but did not think I could afford, but then we looked at the sticker and saw the $3000 off the MSRP, which put this one around the price of a 2016 with fewer options. We took it for a test drive anyway and I was amazed at how it handled, the comfort of the ride, and its fuel efficiency. Upon returning to the dealership, however, I learned it was not eligible for the 1.99% financing because it had more than 600 miles on the odometer. Dray assured me that Kennedy would work hard to find me the bank with the lowest interest rate possible and it might even be better than the 1.99% they advertised on the new vehicles, and I am thinking . . . sure :) As with all vehicle purchases, it took a few hours, but at the end of the day I was completely satisfied with my purchase . . . and the interest rate was 1.93%. Everyone I met seemed anxious to exceed my high expectations and they passed with flying colors. If you are looking for a Subaru, I would encourage you to make your first stop Flow Subaru in Burlington and be sure to ask for Dray Daiber. More
Nice to work with This is a small town dealership that delivers in a big way! The folks there have fun, interesting personalities, and were all very helpful. I wanted a vehicle without any of the added extra's. After searching around for me, they gave me some options but then suggested I just go with a custom order so that I could get exactly what I wanted, which I did. Most other dealerships would try to talk you into a car on their lot but these folks were really committed to get me the car that I wanted. The car came much earlier than expected and the whole experience was great. They are great at keeping in touch and making sure everything is going well with the car. Just awesome customer service. I highly recommend. More

I initially did not contact Maxwell, since according to their site, they did not have one in stock with the package I was looking for. When I did finally contact them, I immediately received a response from Dray. They had one in stock that was missing only one item, which could easily be added to complete the package. The quote he gave me was much better than the others too. The buying process went pretty smooth and we wound up driving the Outback home that evening. It was great dealing with Dray. A little about my observations of Maxwell. It is not a fancy dealership - there is no cascading waterfall in the lobby. It is not in a prime location visible from the interstate. And it is not a large one with a huge amount of inventory. (To make up for this, they trade with other dealers, so if one is not in stock, they will get it for you.) But all this means they do not have a lot of overhead that has to be recouped in the sales price. More

I was on a trip to Raleigh, so I stopped by on a Tuesday. Looked at the Forester 2.0XT, liked it. Made the deal via email with Dray. Picked it up on friday. The closing went very fast as most of the information was already done. Financial guy was friendly. Overall good experience. A) would buy again from them, B) would recommend to friend. More

The first time I visited was 2008, where I wanted to upgrade from my 2005 WRX to a 2008 STI. They gave me a very hard time about my WRX claiming there were multiple things wrong with it, and that it had been extensively modified, the car only had a different muffler on it. The second visit was for warranty work on my 2005 WRX. I knew what the problem was, a leaky coolant hose that connects to the turbocharger. They refused to do warranty work to the car because it was modified, again it was only the exhaust that had been changed. Today was my most recent visit, I went to look at the 2015 STI they have on their lot because I have one on order and I wanted to check one out before mine got here. As soon as the sales staff found out I had a 2015 STI ordered with a different dealer I was immediately treated as if I was a burden. The salesperson seemed like I wasn't worth the time of day. I got so frustrated I just left. Maybe if they had treated me better or tried to make some sort of counter offer they could earn my business, but no, they didn't even try. More

I travelled about an hour to see a car and deal with Dray without any prior face time. He was professional and he really new the vehicle. He also new my VW exceptionally well which made the process of comparison and trade in much better. The process was smooth and without problems. I didn't feel that I got a run around and everyone I dealt with treated me very well. I'd have no problem going back to Maxwell Subaru / Volvo again. More

I happened to find a 2014 demo (2600 miles) at Maxell Subaru and decided to give it a try. I emailed Dray ahead of time to let him know we were coming. He met us and took us for a test drive in the car. We decided to purchase and was pleased with the total price paid. Dray was great to work with (not a pushy sales person) and was able to answer all of our questions. Next came meeting with the finance person (Robbie) and that went well also. He did try to sell us an extended service plan (I never purchase those) but was not overbearing about it like some I have experienced in the past. I don't have any negative feelings about the whole deal except that it always seems to take a long time to actually purchase a car. We were there for several hours. I have found this to be true just about anywhere I purchase a car. All in all I highly recommend dealing with Maxwell Subaru and Dray in particular. More

Dray was "Johnny on the spot" with a response and repeated follow up as to our progress towards a purchase. We were impressed with the dealers attention to detail. Wake Forest University should be proud to know that their alumni still shine like a diamond in their approach to sales and customer service. Thoroughly impressed. More
