Steer clear… This place is a fraudulent operation, relying on the Maserati brand to sell defective used cars. Once purchased they will not follow through on any commitments. For example, if your car relying on the Maserati brand to sell defective used cars. Once purchased they will not follow through on any commitments. For example, if your car breaks down shortly after purchase, they will not timely honor the 30 day warranty. Service and responsiveness are overall horrendous - complete amateur hour. And don’t believe the positive reviews on this site. They were likely drafted by individuals that work for the dealership to inflate their ratings. More
I want to share my experience at Ocean Monmouth Maserati to help future buyers be cautious. I was told by Freehold Mitsubishi that the 2021 Range Rover Velar I was interested in was moved to their location to help future buyers be cautious. I was told by Freehold Mitsubishi that the 2021 Range Rover Velar I was interested in was moved to their location (Ocean Monmouth Maserati) this morning. I arrived prepared, but ended up waiting over an hour with multiple staff giving me conflicting excuses about not being able to locate the car. I was pushed to consider other options and was finally told the car had been sold — which I suspect was untrue. The phone staff seemed more interested in baiting customers than providing honest information. I also found it concerning that my driver’s license was photocopied immediately upon entry without explanation or my consent. It feels like they use fake or outdated listings on CarGurus to lure in buyers and waste their time. This was by far the most frustrating and unprofessional dealership experience I’ve had. Be careful and verify availability before wasting your time here. More
I had a terrible experience at this dealership. I spoke with Stephanie earlier in the week about a 2017 Honda Accord Sport I saw online, which had been on their lot for over 200 days. I mentioned I I spoke with Stephanie earlier in the week about a 2017 Honda Accord Sport I saw online, which had been on their lot for over 200 days. I mentioned I live in Stamford, CT, and would be visiting a cemetery in NJ, so I’d stop by. On Saturday, Stephanie called me at 12 PM to confirm my visit, and I told her I’d be there early. After driving from CT, I arrived with friends, but Stephanie was nowhere to be found. The front desk assigned us to another salesman who, after 10 minutes of back-and-forth, told me the car was sold. No apology, no explanation—just an offer to look at other cars. This was a complete waste of time and money for a long trip. Avoid this dealership! More
My first foray into the car buying process proved to be successful and minimally stressful with this dealership. They were professional, knowledgeable, and passionate. successful and minimally stressful with this dealership. They were professional, knowledgeable, and passionate. More
