Lincoln Purchase After purchasing Lincolns for over 30 years in New York State, this was my first encounter with a North Carolina Lincoln Dealer. First of all (in my o After purchasing Lincolns for over 30 years in New York State, this was my first encounter with a North Carolina Lincoln Dealer. First of all (in my opinion) "dealer installed options" are an old trick and it sends a message about the dealership. I know it is business but this is a LINCOLN DEALERSHIP. Secondly the "RUSE" they played out with me that they could not take my trade because it had an open recall on it was absolutely criminal. I addressed that recall with the service dept. in December and they said they did not have the parts yet but they would contact me . Obviously this was not my problem but The Ford Motor Company. They were willing to let go of a cash deal on a 2020 (trading in a Lincoln 2016 with 30,000 miles ) . If it wasn't for the fact that I was in a very tight time constraint I would have walked. I believe that they realized I was going to pursue this. They then offered a deal that was 1500 dollars above my liking. I made the deal because it wasn't enough money to argue about. I know about" invoice pricing", "hold backs", "volume discounts" etc. Stop the "RUSE" so I don't have to become a LEXUS Owner. Time to act like a LINCOLN DEALER. time to fine tune policy and procedure! More
