So ... call me maybe? I've been a loyal Manly customer since 2001. Much has changed in that time. A recent visit to their service department left me shaking my head. I h I've been a loyal Manly customer since 2001. Much has changed in that time. A recent visit to their service department left me shaking my head. I had a couple maintenance issues to resolve, so I phoned for an appointment. My service adviser Mr. Jose Rocha wanted to check the availability of parts and promised to phone back that day. He didn't get back to me. A week later, I phoned again to follow up, and Mr. Rocha apologized for not getting back to me promptly. At 2 pm on the day of my appointment, Mr. Rocha sent me a text saying my car would be finished by 4 pm. I made the mistake of going to the dealership without confirming. After fighting heavy traffic, I arrived after 5 pm. My car was not ready. Apologetic, Mr. Rocha simply told me "we ran out of time". I was told later that there were difficulties with the repair---these things happen. But in such circumstances, I expect the service adviser to text, phone, or e-mail me as soon as it becomes apparent that the promised time won't be met. He didn't do that. Mr. Rocha substantially discounted the repair cost to match his original estimate, even though the job turned out to be considerably more work than expected. (To charge any more would've been problematic, since I hadn't been informed about the extra work, nor was I provided with a revised estimate.) The day after I picked up my car, I received an e-mail from the Manly service manager Mr. Nicholas Hatch, urging me to contact him "If we have not earned a 5-star or excellent service rating". I phoned Mr. Hatch on Sunday and left a voicemail. It's now 5 pm on Tuesday, and he has not returned my call. I realize nobody enjoys delivering bad news, but that is one of the duties of a service adviser. Nobody enjoys listening to negative feedback, but that is one of the duties of a service manager. Over the years, I've come to trust the service advisers at Manly, including Bill Robertson. I hope this organization can pull itself together and earn my trust again. More

Excellent Service, All my expectations far exceeded! I came to Manly Honda to buy my used Honda Element after my last car buying disaster, which was buying a Lemon off a used car lot in Marin County, and I came to Manly Honda to buy my used Honda Element after my last car buying disaster, which was buying a Lemon off a used car lot in Marin County, and dealing with the consequences. I feel lucky that Greg Morales was my sales person! He was professionally kind, and meticulously thorough, and he has truly won me over as a Manly Honda fan. I feel confident to send all my friends who need cars to him. I'll just make a list of the things he did that won my praise: 1. He made sure the car was safety inspected, serviced, cleaned, and full of gas before I took the car home. 2. He worked with the Credit Unions through the CUDL system to easily get my financing. 3. He gave me all the paperwork, the CARFAX, the KBB value and financing figures and the list of repairs Manly Honda had done on the car to get it ready for me. 4. While I was waiting for the new car to be ready for me to pick up after servicing, my old car that I was driving and using as a trade in broke down. Greg arranged a loaner car for me to use free of charge in the interim, and still gave me a decent amount as a trade in even though my old car was not operational. He also told me not to worry about filling up the gas tank on the loaner car. 5. Greg made sure I understood the 7 day return policy, which helped me relax as I bought the car. 6. Having purchased a lemon in the past, I had my new car inspected after I took it home, and found an issue that Manly missed during it's safety inspection. Greg had the service department fix it at no expense to me, offered me a free loaner car while the repair was being done, offered to come and get the car and leave me with the loaner car, and filled my fixed car with gas to cover the extra driving I did to bring back the car. 7. During the whole transaction and repair process, Greg communicated clearly with me every time, and usually answered my texts within 5 minutes or less. 8. Greg worked hard to make my experience as easy as possible, always with a smile and a handshake. After this experience, I feel like I was treated above and beyond what I thought was possible in buying a used car. Buying from Greg at Manly Honda was better than any car buying experience I have ever had, and I hope that I can return when eventually I need another vehicle. And Sean was a delight too. He took care of the paperwork, explained everything clearly, and answered all of my contractual questions. More
