I am basing my review on a recent service and state inspection on my daughter car. The car was overheating……..Malloy service found nothing wrong with the car. The next day the car was diagnosed with inspection on my daughter car. The car was overheating……..Malloy service found nothing wrong with the car. The next day the car was diagnosed with a bad gasket, needing a new engine. This diagnosis was verified. The car also had front brakes that should not have passed inspection, but a new sticker was placed on the car. This makes me have no confidence in Malloy service department. I am very sad as I totally trusted Jim Price service and used them for many years. More
I have hesitated to write this review, as I have wanted to give this dealership a fair chance. It is a long one, so bear with me. I had a lease on a 2022 Kia Niro that was bought out by Malloy, and I purch to give this dealership a fair chance. It is a long one, so bear with me. I had a lease on a 2022 Kia Niro that was bought out by Malloy, and I purchased a 2025 Trax. Since my Kia was a lease, it had negative equity and so I added that negative equity on the loan of my Trax. The transaction went well, and all papers were signed and I left with the trax, leaving my Niro on their lot for them to coordinate with Kia finance as to the sale of the vehicle / buyout of the lease TO Malloy Chevy. Fast forward almost 2 months later, I get a call from Kia finance stating my payment was late. A late payment on my credit? On a vehicle I haven’t owned for almost 2 months? The finance guy was very friendly and said that they were coordinating with Flow Kia of Charlottesville, and that they had experienced some hiccups in the purchase of the vehicle. He assured me multiple times that if I paid the payment, they would have the issue resolved in 30 days. By this time, my Niro had already been sold to an unsuspecting customer. Malloy overnighted me a check to pay the balance. I called Kia finance two weeks after making this payment to confirm that they had sold the vehicle, to which the representative told me that not only was the vehicle not showing in Kia finances system as sold, but they NOR any Kia dealership had coordinated with Malloy on this situation, as had been previously explained to me. I reached out to Malloys finance manager, who advised me they had sent the check to flow Kia. I said that per Kia finance, no check had been received. Not only that, but I was owing Kia ANOTHER payment, on a vehicle I haven’t owned for MONTHS! The finance manager, very friendly, apologized profusely and told me that they would mail another check to pay the remaining balance (which they did). I paid the balance and called Kia finance, confirming that no additional balance was due. Fast forward to JANUARY 2025, where I am now receiving texts from Kia finance that my lease has not been returned or sold, and they will be beginning recovery efforts to take the Kia. I DO NOT OWN THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE. I reached out to the finance manager, who is of course no longer with the company, and has passed me off to another person. What a sad scenario that I may possibly end up with a repossession on my credit, and an UNSUSPECTING purchaser of my Niro may end up without a vehicle. All because of this dealership’s negligence. In my opinion, once paperwork is signed to transfer ownership of the vehicle, I should not have to take care of anything else financially or through my credit on a vehicle that I don’t own. I certainly hope this dealership contacts me soon to resolve this, as it is a tragic situation in multiple ways. More

I had an excellent experience buying a pre owned vehicle with Malloy Chevrolet. Samantha was great to deal with in sales. Vince was extremely nice and professional he truly is a gem to work with.
