I took my vehicle in for the first prescheduled Toyota Care service which included having the fluids checked and rotating the tires. I only drive about 5k miles a year because I work from home. So my oil changes are based on time elapsed and not mileage. I thought the pre-paid maintenance contract only applied when bringing the car in home. So my oil changes are based on time elapsed and not mileage. I thought the pre-paid maintenance contract only applied when bringing the car in for servicing at the mileage benchmarks. So I paid for an oil change elsewhere 6 months ago since the mileage was nowhere near the first mileage benchmark on the scheduled maintenance reference list. Had I known that the contract would apply even if I brought the car in before the stated mileage benchmark, I would have saved paying for an o/c elsewhere. But this is not stated anywhere in the printed material. Even now, I'm only assuming this is true. More
