Thomas is great. I hate to service my car, especially since money is tight. He made me feel ok with it and didn't make me feel pressured into getting it done. But at the same time he wasn's one of these since money is tight. He made me feel ok with it and didn't make me feel pressured into getting it done. But at the same time he wasn's one of these guys who did the "get it done or get out of my way" He explained the problem and gave me a break on the price. You just cant beat that. More

The folks at Maita were very friendly during the sale of my Prius and everything went very smoothly. At first I was very impressed with their customer service, but after I received the car things quickly went downhill. I bought the car with the XM radio option and assumed the factory integrated system would be installed. Instead I got a "funky" after market FM modulator type that transmits the signal through the radio. I took the car back and told them I wanted it taken out and given a refund. They said that they lived up to their end of the bargain by installing XM radio. I'm in the process of trying to get the issue resolved, but they keep giving me the runaround. I should mention that all of the other dealerships in the Sacramento area said they installed the factory integrated satellite radio system and not some "jerry rigged" after market system. I would not recommend this dealership and wished that I had purchased the car elsewhere. More
I went in to Lease a new Tundra Double Cab and they changed the numbers ten times. To start I had to wait while the sales rep took care of more expensive customers, I waited for nearly 1 hr. Then cam changed the numbers ten times. To start I had to wait while the sales rep took care of more expensive customers, I waited for nearly 1 hr. Then came the price, I had to reiterate that the newspaper ad was the price I was going to pay. Then they tried to steal my trade in for $4000 less than low Kelly Blue. Lets just say it is in great shape. Toyota is a great vehicle but the sales reps are horrible. They think they can do what they want because people want their cars. I will try another dealership to see if I have the same problems. Who knows, maybe I will buy another domestic since the service is so much better. More
After searching the internet for a RAV4, we found one at Maita Toyota that would fit our needs. With a slight bit of bartering on the phone, we set a price that was acceptable to both parties. We made the t Maita Toyota that would fit our needs. With a slight bit of bartering on the phone, we set a price that was acceptable to both parties. We made the two hour drive from our home to the dealership the next day. I always wonder how the deal will change once you arrive at the dealership, but Jeff was a man of his word. While we had our own financing that was ok, Jeff went out of his way to get us an even better deal through Toyota. The whole transaction was satisfactory and very low key. We are very pleased with Jeff and the Maita dealership. Next time I need a vehicle Jeff and Maita will be first on my list. More

Ended up buying the vehicle we wanted 2 hrs later at a different dealer CHEAPER that what I was offering here at Maita. I emailed the general manager about my experience and even he did not follow up. These people don't care about customer service anymore. Try to avoid this place. More

They told me it is common for the back (BACK!) brakes to wear more quickly than the load bearing front brakes. As it turns out - they charged me for the replacement of four brake pads but in fact only changed out 3. After much running around I was refunded the cost of re-replacing the back pads. Obviously I have no confidence in their shop - no wonder they have been investigated in the past.... More
I've had my Tundra in 3 times for audio problems. A new stereo was put in. It worked for a couple of weeks, and then suddenly wouldn't even power up. I brought the vehicle in again, and was told the wiri stereo was put in. It worked for a couple of weeks, and then suddenly wouldn't even power up. I brought the vehicle in again, and was told the wiring harness was "butchered". Keep in mind, they'd already replaced the stereo. The invoice stated that the wires were reconnected and the stereo worked, but would probably fail because the wiring might come loose again. When I picked the truck up, the stereo didn't even power up. The next day, I took the truck into Circuit City to see if they could fix the problem. They found that the wiring harness was fine, and was yielding 12 volts of power. In their opinion, the deck was faulty. Now I ask you, shouldn't the dealer, those who "specialize" in the repair of Toyotas, be able to provide a proper diagnosis? I'm seriously frustrated with Maita Toyota and wonder if they can tell the difference between a lugnut and a peanut. More
