We were interested in a Camry that was advertised online and Mehdi actually found us a newer car at a fantastic deal. He did all the paperwork ahead of time, all I had to do was make an appointment for a test drive and the deal was sealed. We shopped initially via internet sales, asking three different local Toyota dealers to give us a price on a new Prius. Maita Toyota gave us the most detailed response, both from the dealership manager different local Toyota dealers to give us a price on a new Prius. Maita Toyota gave us the most detailed response, both from the dealership manager and from Internet Manager Randy Calhoun. The other dealers said come in and talk, Randy gave us a range of what different models had sold for at Maita the previous weekend -- very, very helpful, with information we could not find otherwise. The other dealers just told us what we also found on their web sites. Randy was friendly, very responsive to our many questions via email, and even better in person when we went to the dealership. As buyers we were looking for the best price, and had done realistic research on Prius sales throughout California at various Prius enthusiast web sites. When he quoted a price he could sell the car for, I already knew his price was the best -- and that's what I bought the car for. Sure, I tried for a few minutes to get an even lower price, but it was very fair and I gladly bought the car. The test drive and description of features was perfect. This was a rare instance where the salesman actually knew about the details of the car. A former co-worker was also at the dealership buying a car by coincidence, and he said the same thing about the salesman he was working with. That expertise, combined with being treated with respect by sales, finance and service, had us walking out the door as very happy customers. Both Randy and Maita Toyota deserve the highest rating! Buying a new car is a stressful undertaking for me but Dave made it a better experience than I anticipated having. He negotiated when the vehicle I wanted ended up having just been sold. We were so disappointed with our experience at Maita Toyota in Sacramento. We drove over 150 miles to get there with the intention of buying a used Toyota Corolla. Our salesman, Phil, was great to wor Toyota in Sacramento. We drove over 150 miles to get there with the intention of buying a used Toyota Corolla. Our salesman, Phil, was great to work with, but we were on a scavenger hunt. Both of the cars we were interested in, that I had found on the internet, as in-stock vehicles were unable to be located. After a few searches we found one in the shop finishing up certification. We were able to test drive the 2007, but the 2009 was still missing. Our test drive consisted of going back through the detailing place, where the second car of interest was finally located. We began negotiating with Ron the sales manager on two possibilities, but soon found out the 2007 still needed to be smogged and both needed to be detailed. We told them that we were more than willing to drive down the next day to pick-up a car, but they were unwilling to even consider this. Phil had told us that he had taken in the 2009 as a trade-in and we were confident they definitely had room to negotiate a fair deal for all involved. Instead, Ron and his assistant began trying to up-sell us into a newer car with less mileage. We went there with a budget in mind, and knew what was reasonable to pay based on Edmunds.com, which reports the ACTUAL selling price of cars to the DMV. Kelly Blue Book (which dealers love to quote) is only the average ASKING price of a car. We were there 4 hours which was plenty of time to smog the older one and bring it to the table as well, but they refused to honor our request. Ron, the sales manager, stepped in when we weren't willing to up-sell and gave a small reduction on the 2009, but then refused to negotiate on the 2007 and told my husband that it did not matter if he paid $50 for the car, because he was going to sell it for what he knew he could get for it. At this point we parted ways. We do want to give a shout out to, Phil, for all of his help and wish they could have earned our business. We went to another dealership, but by that time it was too late to seriously look and negotiate, and we got home close to midnight, csrless!!! In retrospect, it was a mistake to go there the day before the President's day weekend, we would urge people to wait and go on Monday afternoon, when quotas have not been met. They might be more reasonable then. We would tell people to seriously consider not going to Maita for a used car of any kind. The price of a new car is somewhat set and very competitive between dealerships. But when it come to a used car, the customer is at the mercy of Maita. More

I went in to purchase a used vehicle after corresponding with one of the Internet sales managers over a few days. When I went in to test drive, I like the vehicle and made an offer. I went in with a speci with one of the Internet sales managers over a few days. When I went in to test drive, I like the vehicle and made an offer. I went in with a specific amount for my budget with a PRE-APPROVED financing with my credit union. This credit union does business with this dealership regularly, so they knew the process. I specifically directed the sales manager to NOT run my credit again - I had my pre-approval and was staying with my credit union. I specifically told him that I was not interested in any other financing offers. So, he filled out a form for me and told me it was to get the process started to submit my offer for approval. Upon his return from his managers, my offer was not accepted, AND he provided me with copies of my credit score from other bureaus!! This man blatantly disregarded my requests after having been more than clear a number of times. Anyway, I left there and will not return. So buyer beware, this is not a good business practice which may lead me to making legal inquiries if my credit score lowers due to this incident. More
My husband and I were looking to purchase a new car (we were looking to buy a 2012 Camry) and we went to several dealerships but had the worst service...reluctantly we went to Maita basically assuming that were looking to buy a 2012 Camry) and we went to several dealerships but had the worst service...reluctantly we went to Maita basically assuming that the service would be the same...but it wasn't! They weren't pushy and gave us a great price! Dave Lundgaard helped us and he was real personable and made us feel comfortable--he's such a nice guy :)He told me personal things and gave me a lot of insight into what I needed. He catered to me and didn't try to sell me something that he knew I wasn't going to be happy with later. Dave also knew a lot about the car and was eager to find out information if he didn't know--unlike some other car sales-people that might just lie to get the sale! So after he found the right car for us--I had to sleep on it--it had been awhile since I bought a new car. So, I left--telling Dave that I might be back--he was very understanding and let me go--without pressure to purchase right away. Then the next morning, I called Dave (on his cell phone) and told him that I wanted the car--since they didn't have the car that I wanted at their dealership (I was looking for a certain model and color) they then quickly got me the car somehow and and it was there waiting for me less than 48 hours later! We love our 2012 Camry and will sure return when we need to purchase another!! Thanks Dave and Maita! Only downside would have to be the finance guy that was so pushy about having us get the warranty--he kind of got upset b/c we didn't want to get the extended warranty through them--if it weren't for him--I would have given Maita all 5's across the board! --Linda More
