Failed to keep her promise to solve scratch on my new car On 6/30/18, we bought a new Corolla and found some scratches on the passenger's side. The sale agent drove the car back to the shop twice (to clean it On 6/30/18, we bought a new Corolla and found some scratches on the passenger's side. The sale agent drove the car back to the shop twice (to clean it?) but one of scratch and small stain remain. We planned to leave the car there until the problem resolved. The sale agent then stated that she would contact us on Monday (7/2) to arrange detail check up and would fill up the gas tank to compensate the hassle. On July 2 (Monday), I did not receive any phone call from the agent. I texted her regarding the details check up appointment. She replied (on 7/2/18) that she would check on the appointment for me. On 7/3, I sent another text message to follow up the appointment; I did not receive any appointment information since then. On July 8 (Sunday), my husband left a message to the same sale agent regarding the appointment for scratches issue. She returned the phone call and stated that she would contact us for the appointment. It has been two weeks since the initial texting message. On July 15, 2018, I sent an email to the same agent requesting an appointment to solve the issue. As of today (7/20/18), I did not receive any update information . While my dissatisfied survey is relatively little influence, the negative impact of such incident involving dishonor (failed to keep the promise) can be quite significant in its potential to Maita Toyota reputation. More

Processed Loan through Wrong Bank Maita just lost a long time repeat customer today. Background: My wife and I have purchased four vehicles from Maita dealerships over the past 5 Maita just lost a long time repeat customer today. Background: My wife and I have purchased four vehicles from Maita dealerships over the past 5 years or so. Two of those purchases were with Maita Toyota. In all prior cases, we had a great experience and have recommended Maita dealerships to multiple friends and family. Current Experience: I recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma from this dealership. This overall experience was relatively good, though not quite as stellar as in the past. Fast forward one month, within the course of one week, I receive notice that Maita processed my loan through the WRONG BANK and get an invoice saying that somehow I still owe money on my trade-in. I went in at the earliest opportunity after I received both notices, which was a Sunday. During that visit, they acknowledged their mistake on the loan, but said they couldn't get to the bottom of it until Monday, since the banks were not open, which was fair enough. Manuel, the finance manager whom I spoke to, said that he would call me back on Monday with more information. I heard nothing from them for one full week, so I went in this morning to follow up. Today, when I went into the dealership, they fairly quickly acknowledged their error on the loan and confirmed for me that they had at least made a payment re: my trade-in. However, the documentation I was provided indicated that they hadn't made a payment on the trade-in for THREE WEEKS, which is why I was receiving information saying the account was over due. The finance manager I spoke with recommended that I pay the outstanding balance, even though Maita is responsible for it, so that the late payment doesn't hit my credit. Let me repeat that, they wanted me to pay because they took too long to make the payment. On the wrong bank issue, they acknowledged that they made a mistake, but indicated that at this point the couldn't change it, which I guess is fair. When I informed them that the reason that I had pre-arranged my loan through my preferred bank is that doing so gets me better terms on other accounts that I have, they didn't seem to care. I can't just migrate my loan over because rates have gone up in the month since I purchased the vehicle. This means that I'm now loosing money because Maita Toyota screwed up. When I asked for some token compensation for their mistake and my wasted time, such as some type of credit to the parts department, I was told that all they could do was give me their employee discount on parts. This means that while they can cost me money, they will in no way own their screw up. I just purchased a $40k truck from them, and all they will offer is a $40 discount on parts? Maita Toyota, this is pathetic!!! More

Had AAA here to start car and check battery. Said battery is weak. Making an appointment with Maita Toyota of Sacramento online was a snap. Appointment confirmation emails and a phone call from Maita service Department were appreciated. Service Greeters and Service Team always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. (I also have a 2006 Scion, also bought new in 2005, so I've been a regular customer of Maita since at least 13 years now.) The mechanics always do a thorough and excellent job of taking care of whatever problems/maintenance needs to be done. This time my aux. battery (~4.5 years old) had to be replaced. My AC system was low on refrigerant and had to be charged w/dye to make sure any leaks that may be in the system can be found later. Oh yes! Maita also now uses Uber for courtesy (no charge to customer) rides home and back to Maita when needed. Very fast pickup & drop off service. Overall, EXCELLENT! (As usual.) More
