Blown motor less than 2 months of ownership no help As far is the sales and overall deal I was very happy. I paid asking price with no negotiating $32,000. At the time of purchase I was offered a Ford extended service contract which was $800 over MSRP. My plan was to buy a service contract direct from Ford. I purchased a 2010 F450 power stroke diesel with 92000 miles. At 96000 miles 50 days from purchase engine quit running and has been diagnosed with a hole in the #8 cylinder piston. Repairs to motor are nearly $20,000. I've called several times to Mainer Ford and talked with Cody the finance manager and used car manager. He has told me that Mr. Mainer has made it very clear that he's not willing to help me at all. I was offered a service contract at purchase. And because it didn't pay over MSRP at dealer he will not help me. I have never ask for replacement of the motor I've only ask for some assistance. Even if they could sell me a remanufactured motor at cost and help with a little bit of labor I would be very happy with that gesture. I have been told that Mr. Mainer would call me I've yet to receive that call. If you buy a used vehicle from dealer and don't buy warranty you are on your own is the strong message I've been told. Love truck wish outcome was better. Update. Dealer, after review, did contact me. After several conversations dealer said they would help with engine. Would replace engine with reman for $15,500. They said they would be loosing money. I went to my local Ford dealer and can buy a factory reman full assemble motor for 13400 plus labor. Basically looking at 15500 to 16000 to fix. So I opted to have it repaired locally for same price. I asked for them to help with labor costs. $2500. They talked to owner and he offered me $200. Thats right $200 on a $16000. Repair. Also asked that if he pays I take down bad review. My review is fair and honest. Feel like dealer cares more about review than customer service. I'm still waiting for dealer to provide used vehicle inspection sheet. . More
