On 2/19/11, after suffering 2 bait and switch routines at 2 other non-MINI dealerships, I literally stumbled into Mini of Towson. During the next 5 hours I dealt with the most pleasant and forthright salesm 2 other non-MINI dealerships, I literally stumbled into Mini of Towson. During the next 5 hours I dealt with the most pleasant and forthright salesman (Richard Thobe), the very straight shooter, charming General Manager (Mike Coleman) and the efficient Alison Cohen. Richard had ample opportunity to go the way of many other salesmen (I've bought over 25 new cars in my life) by confusing or otherwise fuzzing up the information. Most important, he listened to me while I told him what I wanted and then we hunted through inventory to find it. Though it turned out to be a "used" car it had only 2,500 original miles on it and was, (to put it mildly) loaded. He discussed the pros and cons with me but when I told him I'd kept the last 2 cars for over 10 years, we decided that resale was not of super primary importance to me. We took a ride in the car and then he was incredibly patient and interested as we endeavored to cut a deal. When I was haggling about price, Mike came over and had what I thought was an honest heart to heart with me about what was possible and not possible and I (having seen over 200,000 patients in my life and a good judge of character) sensed an unusal quality of honesty in him. Now I'm not naive and know I can make mistakes, so I asked a number of loaded questions to see if I got straight answers. I did. He in turn became interested in me and it was genuine. Then he went the extra mile and located the history of the car and I found that it had been in world wide auto shows as an exemplary example of MINI (BMW). But that was just icing on the cake. By now we were 2 hours beyond closing and Alison took over to do the financial paperwork. She was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient and did a first rate timely job. No one tried to disappear as fast as possible though I knew everyone wanted to go home. We all worked together to make it work as fast as we could, with minimal brain damage. Now I won't say that everything was in place (literally 100's of details were) but if something needed correction it was done right then and there or arranged for without any "well let's wait and see" BS. Finally there was the great news that I could have a loaner whenever I needed to have service done. I am a very observant and somewhat intolerant person but can admire a spirit of goodwill if it is there. This MINI dealership has all it takes and more. Dr. Ross J Brechner More

Our buying experience was terrific. Both Greg and Michael went all out to locate a car in their extensive inventory that best suited our wishes. There's little room for negotiation on a Mini Cooper, though, so I suspect much of their profit comes from the add-ons (which are not cheap). More

I purchased my mini cooper in 2009 from Mini Cooper of Baltimore County. In November of 2010, I had to have my car serviced. I was advised that I had a bad clutch and that it was user error. The cost of this repair would have been devistating for me. The manager of Mini Cooper, of Baltimore County (Michael Coleman)came to my rescue. He helped me rectify my problem. He always made feel like a person and not like a number. His help was beyond comparison. I also delt with Claudia DeLeon in the service department. She always had a smile on her face and was always understanding and compassionate. If you are in the market for a Mini Cooper, I would strongly recommend Mini Cooper of Baltimore County. More

I had a problem with my clutch. The manager, Michael Colman called me personally after I had emailed him with my complaint and arranged for the repairs. He also called to see if the repairs were satisfactory to me. I have never experienced such fine service and obvious care for their customers as I experienced with this dealer. I should mention that all was done with utmost courtesy and professionalism. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to purchase a MINI work with this dealer. They truly understand that service after the sale is very important. More

They were understaffed and we waited over 3 hours to complete the sale, with no trade in and paying cash - no financing. The staff member who finalized the sale tried to tell us that by state law they were required to "disclose" the information on an extended warranty, protective finish for the paint and other products all car sales people try to sell you - after we had already waited 3 hours. Overall a second rate experience. More
