Answered all my questions like it was casual conversation and never made me feel like I was bothering him, extremely personable and knowledgeable. Provided honest options and didn’t oversell or undersell a vehicle. I did not have an appointment and I did spend the entire day there and that is the only drawback. I did not have much interaction with Michael Hostutler, but the little I did he too was professional. Sean was the financial guy I spent more time with signing on the dotted lines. I feel like we’re old friends now. Overall this is a very nice dealership. Professional employees. Comfortable waiting area with a coffee bar and TV. Everyone makes you feel at home. More

Having worked in sales myself, I understand the pressure to move products. However, I’ve always believed that the best transactions and happiest customers come from honest, open conversations. A Series of Unfortunate Events Purchased a certified used EV Mini Cooper. Drove home WITHOUT charging cable. I texted salesperson Ruby King to say I’d be in next day. Her response? Did you check the t used EV Mini Cooper. Drove home WITHOUT charging cable. I texted salesperson Ruby King to say I’d be in next day. Her response? Did you check the trunk? As a salesperson, she neglected to check for it before I drove off and didn’t review use of cable and charging with me. I arrive at said time the next day—late afternoon (without charger and dwindling limited range) and Ruby states she hadn’t confirmed time with me. Ramsey is about 25 miles from my home and 35 miles from work. I purchased a commuter car and didn’t expect to drive 50 - 70 miles roundtrip with apprx 100 mi optimal battery range. A charger should have been waiting for me - or better yet - dropped off at my home. After about 1/2 hour + wait and her fumbling around with her boss? (who btw didn’t offer a word) she produces a new box and expects me to be happy? (you’re getting a new one cause we can’t find the old one - previous owner said they returned it) Did they inspect anything? That first night of not being able to charge at home led to a week long catching up game. I haven’t purchased a level 2 home charger yet and am depending on the slower level one. They wouldn’t even charge my car when I asked - and due to next incident of picking up plates with an additional charge of $200 for NJ ev registration leads me to believe that they never sell evs there and Ruby King does not have one herself. Again they refused to charge my vehicle even though I told her I had 16% charge remaining. She claimed she asked her boss and answer was no. Meanwhile my friend leased a HONDA ev and is welcome to charge at dealership anytime.) MINI of Ramsey probably doesn’t even have a charger. Although Ms King claims to charge her MINI ev everyday - just leaves it in there while working. I started to feel uneasy when she refused to remove this ludicrous $500 summer tire nitrogen fill warranty for a NJ car that needs all season tires and nitrogen fill is xx. When I questioned the need she never responded to my text. I now need to shell out more money for tires and lost $500 on warranty for useless summer tires. Unbelievable. But she wanted to have the opportunity to be told in advance of a less than stellar review. I am dismayed by the lack of professionalism. This was a large purchase for me and I wanted to go with electric even though charge limit is inconvenient. I hope the car is in good shape - I do like it so far. I went to a dealership believing I would have a better experience. I have to admit I am experiencing doubt and having buyer’s remorse because of the lack of responsibility and professionalism of Ruby King and MINI of Ramsey. There is a complete lack of customer service. A salesperson should never have to ASK for a good review. If they are doing their job they’ll receive glowing reviews. I’ve never written a bad review before. I am left angry and disappointed. More
