Should have gone with my gut instinct! ! Buyers beware if you are purchasing a used non MINI vehicle from here. I purchased a very nice looking 2017 Audi Q7. Salesman and Finance were prett ! Buyers beware if you are purchasing a used non MINI vehicle from here. I purchased a very nice looking 2017 Audi Q7. Salesman and Finance were pretty nice but the SUV was misrepresented. Unfortunately, I couldn't get an appointment with Audi soon after purchasing the Q7 to get it looked over, but once I did, I was informed that I had over $2K worth of suspension repairs as well as a failing waterpump system (another $1K+ repair) where you are able to see dried residual coolant all over the front engine bay. That I know of, there is no 30 day or similar policy to return the vehicle so you are stuck with your purchase. Though this vehicle was MD inspected, it did not coincide with the actual results after verifying with Audi. I will not mention who MINI utilized for the inspection but I would recommend either having your own mechanic inspect your used vehicles or getting it inspected ASAP to know exactly what you are getting into. Mini can only be serviced at a Mini dealer. Cost of service much higher than other service stations. I regret buying a Mini and don’t recommend it. My mini (2013) has less than 30,000 miles. Cost of service much higher than other service stations. I regret buying a Mini and don’t recommend it. My mini (2013) has less than 30,000 miles. has had many service issues. The latest is the AC. Less tan 400 miles ago, I brought it in for repair. The reason for the lack of AC hadn’t been found, but cost over $173 for the diagnosis. I brought my 1924 Subaru in for lack of AC to a local service station a week after bringing the Mini in for AC repair. For the same dye diagnosis the charge was $114. My Mini is again at the dealership, less than 400 miles since the AC diagnosis, because the A C isn’t working. Will never purchase a Mini again!! More
We purchased a Honda CR-V that had been traded into the dealership on a new MINI purchase. I had a search loaded in Cars.com and recognized the dealer name (purchased a car with them before) and reached ou dealership on a new MINI purchase. I had a search loaded in Cars.com and recognized the dealer name (purchased a car with them before) and reached out via the cars.com app. I had a response within a few hours and an opportunity to drive the car within a day. The purchase process was respectful and quick and I left with a good deal on the car. Our salesman also had quite extensive knowledge of the vehicle because he had previously worked at a Honda dealership. The car was partially warranted (50% of repairs within 30 days) which made me more comfortable purchasing a car not represented by the dealership. And when I took it to the Honda dealership, turns out it was in tip-top shape and dealer-maintained at factory-required intervals. Overall, a good car and a good purchasing experience. Would definitely do this again. More
It is hard to enjoy life these days, but I do because of my second Mini Cooper. I am staying with this dealership because of highly professional team and excellent service. I don't know what it is with these Maryland dealers but seems that trying to take advantage of, and burn serious cash buyers, is their forte'. Tried to purchase a virtually new Honda Fit from these clowns seems that trying to take advantage of, and burn serious cash buyers, is their forte'. Tried to purchase a virtually new Honda Fit from these clowns and they attempted to pile on almost $2500 in BS dealer fees...a few of which had some incredibly fascinating names. Rather put a bullet thru my head than deal with these bozos. More
Not for women — mechanics have a rep of taking advantage of women because of the perception they ought not be as comfortable with cars. This dealership tried to convince my girlfriend she needed a bogus $80 of women because of the perception they ought not be as comfortable with cars. This dealership tried to convince my girlfriend she needed a bogus $800 engine fix because it was “falling out.” Other mechanics said she was being scammed. She also needed another unrelated part fixed. They ordered the wrong part and charged her a restocking fee to return. More
My 2011 MINI Cooper S finally bit the dust this week and I wasn't expecting it; it left me stranded in rush hour, took several hours for a tow to show up, and I was hours late for work. On top of that, ther I wasn't expecting it; it left me stranded in rush hour, took several hours for a tow to show up, and I was hours late for work. On top of that, there is a nationwide shortage of vehicles simply because there are no new computer chips available (just my luck). So stress on stress, but my Motoring Advisor (read, salesman) Edio Alarcon, took my frustrations and stress in stride and found me a car that I was happy with. He worked with me the first day to get me home after my former baby died (financially speaking - thousands to repair) (LOVED that car!) by providing me with a very hard-to-get loaner (that computer chip thing) while they retrieved the chosen replacement from another dealer, and bent over backward the next day to get tags transferred (rusty screws), clean my old floor mats, getting down to check under the seats for any 'lost' items, let me take over his computer to check out other accessories, working with parts/service to get me a discount, etc., etc.... all the stuff that should be done, but is often left to the customer. All this made him miss lunch and then he was right back to work helping another couple. The sales manager, Giles Bibic, stopped by several times to ensure I was happy and that things were going well. He was pleasant, treated me with respect, and didn't try any high-pressure salesmanship. I really enjoyed my interactions with Nick Kuhar in Finance, too - he gave me the basic recommendations, listened to what I wanted, wasn't pushy.... overall a really pleasant experience for a change - not so much on previous car purchases where finance is where you usually get a LOT of pressure to buy extras. I've been a service customer here for a few years and am very happy with the service department. It only made sense to buy from them, as cars/owners spend more of their time interacting with the service department than with the sales team. ALL sections of the dealership have come through for me. Highly recommend both Edio and Passport MINI of Montgomery County. More
This place used to be good but it has gone downhill the past 2 years. I've leased 2 Minis with them. I should have learned my lesson the first time. First, they will try to get money from you at all cost past 2 years. I've leased 2 Minis with them. I should have learned my lesson the first time. First, they will try to get money from you at all costs for tires. They make it sound like Mini tires are the worst and need to be changed every year. Every time I got a flat I got the same tired somewhere else by half the price. The system they use when you get a speeding camera ticket is a nightmare!! During my first lease, I would get random pictures of other BMW's on my address. I had to call the MVA because Mini/BMW had no clue how to fix it. This last time Mini did not send me any of my tickets, they paid for them and charged me 600$ at the end of the lease. If you are leasing a car that has mileages in them make sure that it does not go past the 30,000 miles because you will have to pay for oil changes and services. WHile getting the car they will say you do not need to worry about that for the 3 years but what they mean is the car has a 30,000 miles warranty, has nothing to do with your lease. My second lease started with 7k miles and on my last year I took it with 31k mile. They wanted to charge me 400$ for service. Maybe management changed? this place used to be good. More
Absolutely do not bring your Mini here for service. Absolutely the rudest most inconsiderate business I’ve experienced. The salesman Josh did not know the product and the sales manager Nick did not have the courtesy of providing a reply phone call or email experienced.
