I had by far the worst customer service experience of my lif I have a Mini Cooper S, which I love, but the clutch went after 18,000 miles but just outside the warranty period. I have driven a manual (stick) for my entire life as has my wife and have never had a clutch go, let alone at 18,000 miles. The Service Rep at the dealer recommended I purchase a service contract as this would cover the clutch but not the fly wheel, I thanked the rep but said I didn't really want a service contract for a car that has done 18,000 miles in 4 years. After many weeks of back and forth, Mini called me to say they would cover the cost of the parts. When I went to collect the car, I was asked to pay for the Service Contract. I explained that I don't want a service contract and Mini were paying for the repair. I was then told I needed to talk to the Service Manager who wasn't there; the Service Rep was extremely polite and professional. When the Service Manager, Stephan N. Parrett, returned, he sat in his office pointedly ignoring me for an hour. When he finally came out, he was immediately extremely aggressive and said that I had to pay the maintenance contract as I had agreed it. I asked him to show me any evidence that I had done so as I clearly hadn't. He asked the Service Rep to show him my credit card details; which he obviously didn't have. Mr. Parrett then said he had to call Mini and returned to his office. When he returned, he said that he had spoken to four people at Mini, that there was nothing they could do and again told me I had to pay for the Service Contract. I called my Rep at Mini who said that no one had called hi, there was nothing he could, I had a Service Contract and Mini had agreed to pay for the flywheel which was what had been requested of them. I explained the situation, he told me that there was nothing he could do as Mini's system showed a service contract and there was no way I could even open a request for a new clutch because of this. I explained to Mr. Parrett that the Mini rep had not been called and asked him how we called rectify the situation, the reasons that I had no interest in a service contract and what our next steps should be. He replied that my only options were to pay $4.5K for the new clutch, a number I had never heard until this point or pay the mtce contract. I replied that I didn't like either option. At this point, Mr. Parrett became extremely aggressive, seize my keys and threatened to take a legal lien on my car so that I couldn't have it until I paid what he asked. Given no further option, I paid the Service Contract fee, wrote UNDER DURESS on the contract and put a line through the signature column. Mr. Parrett simply turned his back on me, returned to his office and closed the door leaving me with the extremely embarrassed Service Rep. I cannot recommend dealing with Mr. Parrett under any circumstances, he is highly unprofessional and unsuited to his job. My experiences with Mini of Fairfield County had been excellent to this point but they chose to employ this individual, I also cannot recommend a car where the clutch failing after a lightly driven 18,000 miles is acceptable. I am exploring my options at this stage. More

Carol was awesome to work with, and helped me order my custom Clubman with all of the features I wanted. There was absolutely no pressure, and she was so helpful from start to finish, even finding me an additional discount after we had already agreed on a price.....not your typical car buying experience that's for sure! I highly recommend Carol if you are looking for a new Mini! I haven't used the service department yet, but I hear great things about them. More

I live in NewHampshire ( about 250 miles away) and was interested this retractable hardtop model so had to work out the details on line and put a deposit on it with only photos on the Internet and the dealer description of the car. I found the description of the car that the dealer had quoted was accurate and when I arrived with a truck and trailer to pick it up the paperwork was 99 percent done , everyone was curtious and helpful. Great Experience at Mini of Fairfield County! We decided to travel over 2 hours (about 100 miles) from NY to shop for our Mini, as no closer dealer had the amount of used Minis in their inventory We decided to travel over 2 hours (about 100 miles) from NY to shop for our Mini, as no closer dealer had the amount of used Minis in their inventory or pricing that Mini of Fairfield had. We're so glad we made the trip! It was a busy Saturday when we arrived, and we were running late for our appointment so Barbara was with another client, but others quickly stepped in to ensure we could test drive the vehicles we came to see. By the afternoon, we'd met with both Barbara and her manager, Joe, and fully worked out a deal for the Mini we loved! We also spoke to Max, the Business Manager that day to get things in order for the pickup, and also worked with him when we returned the following Saturday to pick up our car. Barbara, Joe, and Max were all friendly, helpful, and such a pleasure to work with. We'd definitely recommend that anyone looking for a Mini, near or far, new or used, visit this dealership. It's worth the journey! More
The Nicest People to Buy a Car From. I long as I can remember, I have always loved the look of MINI Coopers. My husband decided after hearing me talk about Coopers, and the fact that my 5 I long as I can remember, I have always loved the look of MINI Coopers. My husband decided after hearing me talk about Coopers, and the fact that my 5 year old Hyundai Tuscon was on a decline, that we should go down and take a look. We got paired with Antonio Silva who is by far the nicest and sweetest car sales man you could ever met. He let us go for a test drive with the Countryman and I absolutely fell in love. Now that I knew what I wanted (and technically needed) in a new car, my biggest challenge was picking a color. Antonio walked me through as many color combinations as possible. He never rushed me, he even walked me around the parking lot to show me what each Blue looked like and what the Silver car looked like in real life. What the car would look like with Silver tires rather than black tires. He was extremely patient especially when I kept changing my mind about the color I wanted. When we finalized on Silver, he looked and located the car I wanted up in Boston. We just needed to put it on a flat bed to White Plains and have someone drive it over. When it came to trade in my Hyundai in, there were some issues from the previous sale of the car that we were never aware of. Antonio's manager Joe worked with us and a dealership to work through the previous issues with the Tuscon. He helped to get us the best deal for our trade in. Again, they never made us feel rushed or that we were at fault. They discussed the different ways that we could trade our car in and get the car I wanted while keeping my payments similar in comparison. They handled my anxiety through out the entire process professionally and personally which made me realize that we made the right choice in coming here to get a new car. I really could not be happier with my purchase of my new MINI. I love Tilly and am extremely appreciative to Antonio and Joe for assisting us throughout the way. More
Superior purchasing experience! I recently purchased a 2016 Countryman for my daughter from Carol Moore. Other dealers (Mazda) had inferior products or (Audi) were rude and dismissi I recently purchased a 2016 Countryman for my daughter from Carol Moore. Other dealers (Mazda) had inferior products or (Audi) were rude and dismissive. Carol made us feel like we were the 2 most important people that she had to talk to that day. She provided 2 test drives, answered all our questions and made the ordering process simple. She even gave us the info needed to track the car carrier across the Atlantic. Joe made the delivery process easy, didn't pressure me & (most importantly) treated me like an intelligent adult. In my experience, Mini of Fairfield County (and BMW of Darien) make the car buying process simple & start from the viewpoint that we are all intelligent adults, NOT a quality shared by the large majority of other dealers! Next car purchase will be from Carol!! More

My wife was shopping for a new car. She has always been jealous of my Mini. We went to Mini of Westchester and had a horrible experience with one of the sales staff there. In short, he treated my wife in such a condescending manner that I was ready to sell my car and never deal with Mini again. I reconsidered and decided to take my business to the Mini of Fairfield County, and I am glad that I did. Barbara Reiniger was an absolute pleasure to work with. She treated us wonderfully and she worked with Joe Zappulla to get us the car and the deal that we wanted. Thanks to Barbara and Joe’s excellent team-work, we are now a Two-Mini family. Thanks again.
