Bought a new SUV (a Rogue from a rogue!) from a salesman at M'Lady Nissan (see displeasedick below). My fault (if it is a fault) was going in 3 days before Cash for Clunkers ended and so I had limited time at M'Lady Nissan (see displeasedick below). My fault (if it is a fault) was going in 3 days before Cash for Clunkers ended and so I had limited time with which to make a decision. Couple that with being at the dealer from about 4 pm to 9 pm one Friday as Geno L. did many other work related things while working with me. Not only did I NOT get his undivided attention but paperwork was brought in to me for review - one "document" that was to be the final interest and loan amount options scribbled on a piece of paper. Very unprofessional and a true lack of comprehensive service overall. You may even think that it was an attempt to create confusion in the hopes the purchaser may miss some of the details. I should have stopped the sale then but had limited time as stated above. So the complaint here is that although I like the car, I specifically asked for some options which in the end I didn't receive. I blame myself in part for trusting and after looking at a couple of models that day - you know how that is - in the end I was told that the option I wanted was on the car that I finally decided on. And, I believed the salesman - after all I had a referral to the dealership AND the salesman and I expected to get some honesty. In retrospect, that was perhaps a novel idea. After going back to the dealership a couple of days later to dispute a calculation error that I'd noticed, it was determined I was overcharged by $250. At first I was told I had to wait for a check to be mailed to me and when I balked at that, I was then told that because it was a Cash for Clunkers deal that I had to wait for the government to reimburse them! By then I was so intellectually insulted that I got loud in the showroom and only after that was I refunded in cash. A day or two afterward, Jim M'Lady did contact me and I had a couple of conversations with him and he seemed sincere in wanting to do more to "restore my confidence in his dealership". I knew I couldn't return the car to get what I thought I bought since it had now been titled, now considered "used" and it was a Cash for Clunkers deal. So he and I agreed on a monetary compromise that was acceptable to me. I have to at least give him credit for getting involved and trying to renew my faith in M'Lady Nissan but the fact is that this should have never happened in the first place and I don't know why he continues to have to do damage control behind a bunch of inexperienced, fast talkers rather than true salesmen. Since I now know that Geno L. has had sales issues with other customers in the past, I asked why he is kept on as a salesman (I think he's been there for about 7 years). The response (not in so many words) I received tells me the dealership seems more interested in simply selling cars than having satisfied customers. I know the dealership has been around for a long, long time and may feel that longevity is stronger than a good car buying reputation but my advice to M'Lady is to take a broader look - especially in these times when you can't count on anything. For me, having a good customer experience says it all and I'll pay more and travel far to receive it. So despite M'Lady's proximity to my house and the booklet of discount coupons given me for sales and service, at this time I am undecided about whether to take my car to M'Lady or elsewhere for maintenance. Jim M'Lady himself might have made a sincere attempt to "make good" but the choice of employees at this dealership speaks volumes and the reason for the choice is not a philosophy with which I agree. It's unfortunate for the dealership but I don't want to chance another bad experience. More
Gene Lefever is errogant and a liar - he kept avoiding questions and kept bullcrapping about things I was not interested in, he told me about options that were on the vehicle that were not on the vehicle questions and kept bullcrapping about things I was not interested in, he told me about options that were on the vehicle that were not on the vehicle then later lied about the options. His peers all told me they wished he would get fired. He is loud and rude to all his customers and yet nothing is done about it. I also got the run around from his two managers, they kept telling me how honest they were and avoided the issues I had with this sale. I was double charged and treated rudely. I will never buy a vehicle from there and I will never recommend anyone to buy from there - this dealership sucks More
I started my experience at Nissan Mlady working with Pat I started my experience at Nissan Mlady working with Pat Tate a salesman who truly was interested in my current situation with buying a car. I had a I started my experience at Nissan Mlady working with Pat Tate a salesman who truly was interested in my current situation with buying a car. I had an expectation of what kind of car I was going to get with how much I was willing to spend per month being on a fixed income. After spending some time with Pat I happen to find a car that had everything I ever wanted and more, but the price was more than I was willing to spend per month. Pat was very helpful and saw that I was upset when I told him the car I liked was just a little out of my price range. So pat brought me inside the dealership sat me down and told me to he is going to talk to his manager Abe and see if there is anything that can be done to get me in the car I want. Before Pat went to his manager he brought me some popcorn and a drink for me and told me to make myself comfortable while I was waiting. Pat came back with his Manager Abe they where able to get me into the car I wanted at the price I was willing to spend per month. Abe also really helped me out by including a warranty at the same price that went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. I ended up buying the car of my dreams thanks to Pat and Abe. I left the dealership feeling very good about my purchase and I would recommend everyone to buy a car from Nissan Mlady. More

I worked with john for a week or so to purchase a murano, john was a wonderful, very pleasent and knowledgeable person. I went back to the dealership to ask john a few questions about the murano and was told john was a wonderful, very pleasent and knowledgeable person. I went back to the dealership to ask john a few questions about the murano and was told by eddie (another salesman) he had been fired by jim M'lady because jim m'lady would not pay him his commissions that were owed him. What kind of a person wouldnt pay a person the money he owed his employee? I recommend that anyone needing a nissan or any other car stay away from M'lady nissan and go see john at Liberty Auto Plaza 847-680-8000 you will be very satisfied with his proffessionalism. I knew that wasnt the case because my passenger side window They told me there is something wrong with the window because i have after market alram. I knew that wasnt the case because my passenger side window was working perfectly fine. They made me bring my car several times and they couldnt figure it out what was the problem. Not even that they couldnt fix oil leak and rpm. For the same problem i had to take my car in several time. And they lie to me and they billed my extended warranty several time for the same problem by making a fake issues. More
Lies and deception. The price was good but was supposed to include a specific bumper to bumper warranty. They tried to switch it during the paperwork, and I threatened to leave, they then upgraded the war to include a specific bumper to bumper warranty. They tried to switch it during the paperwork, and I threatened to leave, they then upgraded the warranty but when I questioned the actual warranty that I wanted they lied to me and said it was a maintenance contract not a warranty. When I asked for a brochure to explain the warranties, they said they didnt have one. Brian Murphy promised me that I got the best warranty. Guess what, they lied. When I got home and researched the warranty that I asked for it was not the maintenance plan they had told me. When I called Brian Murphy the very next morning, he told me he would fix it. Two weeks and many calls later, I ended up driving back to the dealer to find out where my new paperwork for the warranty was that Brian Murphy had promised to mail, and Jim Brandt had promised to fax to me. At that time Jim Brandt told me that Brian Murphy had quit, and that if I wanted the warranty that I had asked for, I would have to pay $380 more. What a scam!! He told me to talk to Jim M'Lady as he was the only one to authorize this, and I was told that Mr M'Lady always promptly returns customers phone calls. Well several messages and days later, I received no return call from Mr. M'lady, instead I received a voice mail from Jim Brandt saying that Mr. M'Lady had told him that he would not do anything for me. Avoid this dealer. Went to the BBB, they would not negotiate, which is why they are now listed as unacceptable. More
Negotiated the price of a new Maxima and Nissan extended warranty. Told them up front that I wanted a bumper to bumper 6yr 100k zero deductible warranty. When it came time to sign the papers, they tried t warranty. Told them up front that I wanted a bumper to bumper 6yr 100k zero deductible warranty. When it came time to sign the papers, they tried to give me a lesser warranty, when I balked they finally agreed to a slightly better warranty, but when I pointed out the warranty I wanted on the form they told me that the one I wanted was a maintenance plan, not a better warranty. Once I got home and looked it up on line, I found out that they lied to me and did not give me the correct warranty. I called back the next morning and Bryan Murphy agreed to correct the warranty and send me a copy. A week later I still didnt reveive the paperwork so I called back and was told the secretary had mailed it out but he would send it out again. I waited another week and still no paperwork, so I called again, and had to leave a voicemail for Mr Murphy. When I did not receive a call back in a day and a half I called again, and Mr. Murphy was not available but Jim Brandt helped me and said he had just seen Mr Murphy working on it a couple days earlier. I asked him to fax me a copy of the corrected form and he agreed. I waited a couple hours, no fax, so I drove to the dealer, and then was told that Mr. Murphy had quit, and then Jim Brandt said they would not correct the warranty unless I paid them an additional $380!! I tried calling Jim M'Lady as he says he will always return your calls, I left him 3 messages, and no call back, instead I got a message from Jim Brandt saying he spoke with Jim M'Lady and they would not honor their mistake and I would have to pay the $380 for the warranty I had originally asked for. Went in to dealer with financing already arranged through my credit union. I let them talk me into filling out a financing application because they were sure they could beat my rate. They did, a full poin my credit union. I let them talk me into filling out a financing application because they were sure they could beat my rate. They did, a full point less than the credit union was going to give me. Great deal! Not so fast. After signing all the paper work I thought we were done. Six days later, Eddie form the finance department calls me and tells me they were not able to get the rate they had promised but could get me a rate of 15.9%! I had already called the credit union and told them to disregard my application because I thought I had a deal in place. Now, I had to go back to the credit union, redo all their paperwork and hope that they would still give me the same loan. They did. I then asked Eddie if I could just mail the check since I live 25 mile away and didn't want to go all the way back to the dealer. I was told I could not mail it because there were some papers I had to sign. I went in and gave them my check and they gave me a receipt. Lo and behold, no papers to sign! Eddie called me the next day to find out when I might be able to bring in the check. Idiots. Also, and I know it's buyer beware on this but 3 days after I got the car the brakes started to squeek, the rear passenger window doesn't work properly and they only had one key to the car. So much for their 103 point inspection. Will not be back. More
