Forced 60K mile service when car had less than 50k miles My wife took our BMW X3 to the dealership and the service department decided to perform 60K mile service work when the vehicle hadn't even passed 50K My wife took our BMW X3 to the dealership and the service department decided to perform 60K mile service work when the vehicle hadn't even passed 50K miles. I reviewed the BMW recommended maintenance interval document this dealer provided to us when we purchased the car and the service contract they recommended. I'm concerned that some of the replaced items will wear out earlier since they did the worker earlier than recommended by BMW and that by that time our service contract will have expired and we will have to pay for service out of pocket that would otherwise have been covered if they followed BMW's recommended service intervals. I'm also concerned they took advantage of my wife since she did not know to question them about this. More
