Normally we retain photos of damage for insurance purposes, but if you communicate to your service advisor that you are not going to pursue a claim with your insurance company, it is customary for us to delete the photos. Is there a chance the advisor was under the impression you were not going to submit for reimbursement? I would be more than happy to research this for you.
