Christina, Please accept our apology for your less-than-stellar experience with the service department. Having an issue with your brand-new car when you're traveling is frustrating, having that happen on a day that our service department is closed certainly doesn't make it less stressful. I'm sorry you were blamed for the issue you were experiencing. While there may be numerous causes for the issue that brought you in, starting out by blaming you for it is a poor confidence builder and does not live up to our standard of service. You are right, a healthy dose of empathy is exactly what you needed, and I'm sorry we failed to deliver. As far as loaners/rentals go, we don't leave cars with the sales department when service is closed, there's a good chance they'd sell them on us. I am surprised to hear you are struggling with Hyundai for reimbursement though. I know their policy is to provide alternate transportation for a warrantable issue after the diagnosis, and that's what it sounds like you had... a build quality issue. Thank you, I do have a case open. Hyundai has been slow to respond (over a month open) and last update was they would give me 20% reimbursement- I’ve been waiting now 3 days for a supervisor to call me back and was told I’d get a call in 24 hours 🤷🏻‍♀️
