OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States. We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions. We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. Lack of communication, service was faster than expected. Expected a car wash and vacuum and maybe my engine to be steam cleaned after engine replacement with the thousands of dollars spent. More

I wanted to provide a bit of context, as our records indicate that the most recent repair on your vehicle was an engine replacement completed in March of 2022. Are you comments pertaining to that repair sir, or am I missing a more recent visit? While we’re glad to hear that the repair itself was completed faster than expected, we regret that there was frustration regarding communication and post-repair expectations. For clarification, Hyundai warranty guidelines do not authorize or reimburse for cosmetic services such as vehicle detailing, vacuuming, car washes, or steam cleaning of the engine or engine bay following an engine replacement. We understand how expectations can differ after a major repair and appreciate the opportunity to clarify this publicly. Clear communication is important to us, and your feedback is valued.
