My Mother in law passed away last November and we needed to liquidate her estate. She had a 2004 Buick that was purchased new, it has 130,000 miles on it and has been well maintained and stored in a garage. I checked Kelly blue book on line to find out a starting price in order to sell it. It showed a value of approximately $3000.00 with a $1,700.00 dealer trade. I was then contacted by two Dealers (Lithia and Cole Nissan). The both said that they could beat the Kelly price and to bring the car in. Since I purchased a 2014 Challenger from Lithia two years ago I contacted Amanda and made an appointment at 2:00. I took the car over at 2:00 and my Wife followed me over to the dealership. When we got there at 2:00 we found out that Amanda had went to lunch (first red flag). Mike said he could to the inspection and help us out. After he and the Manager got done with the inspection they said there were bolts missing out of the exhaust manifold and the head was leaking also the temp gauge was acting up after setting for six months. The cash offer was $200 and Maybe trade value might be $500 (red flag number2). I am a retired Mechanic I was in the profession for 35 years and I can state that all of the manifold bolts are there and there is no way that there is a head leaking. The Temp gauge had stopped working during the time it sat. I did not seek you guys out, you contacted me. I was prepared to purchased a Car with cash and trade both my wife's car in and Buick in for it. That will not happen now and don't even ask my Wife what she thinks of how we were treated. By the way her Car was also purchased from Lithia. I will repair the gauge cluster and sell the Car myself and be happy that I did not spend any more money at your Dealership.
