Beware the add-on warranty products Lindsay Honda has an excellent new facility and great Honda cars to sell you. But the sales and financial management staff are sharks. I recently bought a Honda Accord Hybrid for a fantastic sales price. Still, the vibe of the place made me a little uneasy. The salesmen seemed like sharks. But I went forward with the purchase. The real problem came with the finance manager. He went over optional credit life and gap insurance coverage I could get and keep the payment reasonable. They always focus on the monthly payment. What I failed to see at the time was that the document listing the products merges at least two products in one box on the page. If you agree to one, you agree to two. The result: I was charged $850 for the product I agreed to buy, and $1475 for an extended warranty that I did not want to buy. The final sales sheet lists these products clearly, but Lindsay doesn't review that page with the customer; they fold up the pages listing all the costs in an envelope and hand it to you on the way out. READ EVERY DOCUMENT. Or better yet, choose a different Honda dealer. More
