The latest recall notice for my 2019 MKC Lincoln states that if I want pickup and delivery service to take advantage of this service yet, when I asked for this service this dealer wanted to keep my vehicle that if I want pickup and delivery service to take advantage of this service yet, when I asked for this service this dealer wanted to keep my vehicle for two or three days and wanted to charge me $100. First they sold me a 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid with a bad hybrid battery. It died within two weeks of ownership. Of course they claimed it was an "as is" sale. But I demanded they take it back or I wou bad hybrid battery. It died within two weeks of ownership. Of course they claimed it was an "as is" sale. But I demanded they take it back or I would make sure that every teacher in the Broward School district knew what they did to me. They agreed to buy it back provided that I purchase another vehicle from them. I was in a pinch now since I had no vehicle at all so I agreed. They sold me a 2015 Ford Explorer, the only vehicle that fit my needs (I do event DJ services on the weekends). They had to put in a new transmission. I knew that and agree. But everything else they said was rigorously checked. Well, not true. Within two weeks I needed a new battery. Then it hard shifted so I took it back under the new transmission warranty. They said it wasn't the transmission. It was the engine mounts and they wanted $2500. Again, I told them this is ridiculous and they agree to do the work for $800. THEN, 3 months later the engine light went on. It was the turbo. I felt that the car had no pick up but didn't know why and assumed that it was just a trait of the Explorer. Wrong. I went to a reputable mechanic and it cost me $2700 PLUS they said the front brakes were bad...another $300. So I haven't even owned this vehicle for 6 months and I've dropped $3800 into the car. This after they supposedly inspected it and determined it to be worthy for resale. These guys are rip off artists and I would NEVER do business with them again nor advise anyone else to. More
