All were aware of the offer you made when you came to the store that evening. When told Rob that you were ready to buy if we took another $1,000 off of the already discounted price of a new Forester Limited, we were simply unable accept your offer. His suggestion of adding leather to a Premium (we do it all the time...it looks great!) was in an attempt to find a new Forester that would fit your budget and include leather interior, which is the major difference between the Limited and the Premium...I apologize if it came across as anything else. I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a dealer willing to sell you a new Forester equipped the way you want it at the price that you were willing to pay. Enjoy it, and drive it in good health! Hi, Carolyn- Thanks for taking the time to post a review...good, bad, or indifferent, this is how we grow and improve for our customers! Since our 30,000 Mile Major Service is based on the manufacturers recommendations, the comparison between what we include and what other dealers include should be very similar, if not identical. The difference will be what different shops charge for that service. Since we shop our competition (both Subaru dealers and independent shops) on a regular basis, I'm confident that our price for this service is very competitive, especially considering that we're using Genuine Subaru fluids and filters, and hand wash every car that comes in for service. I would like to clarify a few points: 1.) The fluids in your car (engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, differential fluid, brake fluid, etc.) were REPLACED...not merely "topped off" as you mentioned. 2.) The price of a regular oil and filter service for your car is only $37...not $70 as you mentioned. You are correct, however, that $50 was deducted from the cost of your service. 3.) Subaru recommends that the cabin air filter is replaced once a year. Since some of our customers drive a lot and some drive much less, including that filter change in a mileage based service would result in some of our customers having it replaced more often than necessary, while others might not have it replaced often enough. This is why the cabin air filter is not included in our mileage based services. Finally, the employee that helped you is Nikki. When you arrived, Nikki reviewed the content of the 30,000 Mile Major Service as well as how much it would cost, and obtained your approval before the technician began working on your car...this is when you advised her that you didn't need the engine oil changed. I feel badly that you don't feel like you got your money's worth for this service, but I can assure you that the service was done completely by a Certified Subaru Technician using Genuine Subaru parts and fluids, at a very competitive price, and that your car was clean when you picked it up.
