Unscrupulous business practice. We got a quote over the phone, confirmed the quote the next day. The quote was much lower than other dealers and they encouraged us to drive 1 hour 45 minutes to the delaer phone, confirmed the quote the next day. The quote was much lower than other dealers and they encouraged us to drive 1 hour 45 minutes to the delaership. Instead, I asked to put a deposit down on a credit card over the phone to lock in the price. That is when they uncovered a "mistake" and recalculated the price. Surprise, it was higher that other dealers. My fiance who is a litigation attorney pointed out that making a verbal offer that is accepted constitutes a binding contract that they are legally obligated to honor. However, we would be willing to work with them to come to some sort of compromise. The dealership took a few phone calls and well over an hour to decide to not compromise and continued to offer us a price higher than other dealers. We felt they were deceptive in their practices and their conduct literally broke the law. More
