Really?? x plan is to be 4% above dealer cost and is to be uniform from dealer to dealer for the same vehicle. I have gotten quotes lower that what they gave me from other dealerships without telling them I had the x plan....Something smells rotten in the city of Brusnwick, and its name is Liberty Ford.... 1. First saw the car on-line. Had approx 30 very clear pictures. 2. Since I live in NY, approx 460 miles away, spoke with Rick, salesperson. He also provided his cell number and I was able to ask him pictures. 2. Since I live in NY, approx 460 miles away, spoke with Rick, salesperson. He also provided his cell number and I was able to ask him many questions during and after business hours. He also returned my voice mails. 3. After a few days, I made an offer on the car. He contacted his manager, again, after business hours and the offer was approved. The reason why I made an offer on the 2011 Mustang that was 460 miles away from my home was: the price was much lower than any dealer that was close to me, it had many additional options and the sales person was very nice while taking all of my calls. 4. The offer was firm on their part but I could cancel if the car was not as it appeared in the pictures or something was not right with it. 5. Took Amtrak and arrived approx 11.5 hours later and as promised, Rick picked me up. Train station was about 20 minutes away from the Liberty Ford. 6. The car was better than the pictures showed and had an additional option that was not listed. 7. Bought the 2011 Mustang and enjoyed the 9 hour drive back to NYC. What a smooth ride. 8. Almost two months later, great car. Worth the trip. The price was great. More
FOund a car online, loved it, called, yes we still have it, come down tonight. Straight after work I go, took my down payment, my title for the trade in and then I sat and sat for hours waiting to sign a it, come down tonight. Straight after work I go, took my down payment, my title for the trade in and then I sat and sat for hours waiting to sign a contratct. Salesman says, its late now, can you come back on Saturday to sign the contract? ( mind you this is over an hours drive one way ), I agreed, they give me a piece of crap loner car. This was Thursday night, I said why cant I come back tomorrow since I"m off? ohhh we cant, the finance manamger is off. hmmmmmmm, so you are not going to see one car tomorrow? Anyway, Friday rolls around, I'm al ittle peeved over the whole thing. Getting ready to c all and complain, my phone rings, hey, can you come down right now and sign the contract? Okay, on my way...I get there after my long drive, walk in and the salesman said I have bad news, your transmission is shot, we cant sell you that car, I can put you in this one... which was a piece of crap comared to the one i was going to buy. I refused, refunded my money, got my car and title back... The interesting thing is I know for a fact the car was double sold, I have a source in the service dept. ALthough I didnt find this out till a few days ago. Apparently they took my contract, and almost at the same time was selling the car to someone else, turns out the guy who got it had crappy credit and they could get more from him, unfortunately this happens more than it should. They completly wasted my time with their shady business practices. NEVER NEVER again will I even consider Liberty for anything, and I tell everyone I know.... I went to Ganley in Wickliffe, awesome people. More
Called and asked if they had a certain car in stock - he said they didn't but could easily get one. I had already told him my make and year of my trade in and he told m to come in so they could give me num said they didn't but could easily get one. I had already told him my make and year of my trade in and he told m to come in so they could give me numbers on my trade. I got there and had to hunt for him (outside goofing off) took my keys and came back 3 minutes later with a price so low I almost fell off my chair. Gave him the blue book price for my trade in and he said "Blue Book doesn't write the check" Sooooo - it seems like the name keeps changing at this place, not not the attitude or customer service. Can't wait for them to go bankrupt! Good times - good times More
Was looking to buy a Ford Focus, told salesman that I had X-Plan pricing and he stated that it wasn't a problem and to come on down. I drive 40 miles and once I'm there talking with the salesman he decides t X-Plan pricing and he stated that it wasn't a problem and to come on down. I drive 40 miles and once I'm there talking with the salesman he decides to tell me that they don't accept X-Plan on the new Focus. Funny, these guys couldn't sell a car three years ago but all of a sudden they're too good to give you the pricing you are entitled to. Thanks for nothing Liberty Ford, I went elsewhere and got X-Plan on a Focus, I guess because that dealership wanted to make a sale. I hope you go bankrupt for wasting my time and money... More
