Mr. Kaplan and Mr. Ramos were very professional, friendly and helpful to me and my husband in our purchase of a previously owned 2010 Prius. I had expected to have to return, but that was not necessary, thanks to the efficiency of all staff members with whom we dealt at Rockland Toyota. Mr. Ramos, our salesman, was much more knowledgeable about the vehicle than the NJ salesman who had sold us our 2006 Prius. He really worked at educating us about the various features, some of which are different on the newer vehicle. As a result, we are much better informed about the car and will probably have an even better experience with it than we have had with the 2006 Prius. In addition, I would like to commend Mr. Ramos for his friendliness, prompt response to questions and concerns, and his help in obtaining a new key for the 2010 vehible. I will gladly recommend Rockland Toyota to any friends or family who might wish to consider purchasing a Toyota. I should also commend the service people, who, when we returned for the new key, quickly reprogrammed the old key and also washed our car, which was very dirty from the winter weather. Our salesman was someone that I remembered from several years before, when I was in the market for a used car. It turned out that I couldn't find the right car at that time, but I liked working with Royce years before, when I was in the market for a used car. I remembered him, and saw him on a subsequent visit for service, when he gave me information on my Prius that I was not told by the dealer at the dealership where I had purchased the car. I felt like he was trustworthy and knowledgeable - a great combination in a car salesman. I brought my god daughter in to buy a car this week. He took excellent care of us, including giving her driving tips when they test drove the car (she is new to driving). The service department is also excellent. I have had experience at 2 other Toyota dealers in the area. Rockland Toyota would be my choice. More

Specifically choose Rockland Toyota because of previous reviews. Very impressed with the new car buying experience. Salesperson Ana was no nonsense and very up front with her salespitch. I went in with my Consumer Reports Car Dealer Report ($14) and was able to get an accepted offer with my first price offering. No need for negotiations or shuffle dealings with the manager. Just get to the point. The real negotiations comes in the financing department. Since we were qualified for 0% financing, they have to make money off us in other ways. So make sure you really understand all the warranties and maintanence programs costs/benefits. If you know how much it really cost to maintain any car then you will make a wiser decision. My mistake was not to have a complete line by line price breakdown before leaving. We ended up leaving messages and delayed replies until days later. That being said, I am writing this email to tell you of a very positive experience I had this morning, Friday, November 05, 2010, with your service department. When starting my 2010 Venza this morning I noticed that the Check Engine , AWD & Traction warning indicators did not go out on the instrument panel. I thought about the situation and remembered that I had gotten gas the previous day. I immediately went to check the gas cap and found it was not secure. After turning the gas cap, I restarted the car but the same situation occurred. I know that if the gas is not on properly that the check engine may go on but probably would eventually go off. I was however concerned about the AWD and Traction warning indicators. I immediately went to Rockland Toyota arriving at about 8:05am. I was then approached by Anthony Wrenn of your service department. When I explained the situation Anthony told me that sometimes these indicators all go on when the gas cap if not secured properly. I told Anthony that I had to get to work and he said not to worry since resetting of the code(s) could be done in twenty (20) minutes. I was a little suspicious about the timing since people tend to stretch on this type of thing. I want you to know that work was done as promised—twenty (20) minutes and Anthony was extremely customer oriented. It is nice to know that Rockland Toyota has an employee such as Anthony Wrenn.
