I was out of town when my vehicle was ready, but Dane let me know the two extra days wasn't an issue. The whole process was covered under warranty and didn't cost me a dime. Error on installation of Alternator Belt They inspected my vehicle at 130,000 miles within the past month. In 1000 miles the car began to smoke on the Berlin Turnpike on 06/24/19. My brand ne They inspected my vehicle at 130,000 miles within the past month. In 1000 miles the car began to smoke on the Berlin Turnpike on 06/24/19. My brand new alternator belt was completely broken. The service manager (Jason) said the belt was frayed only. My vehicle was inspected by 3 firemen and 1 police officer on 06/24/19 to make sure the car was not on fire. They confirmed That the car was smoking, alternator belt was broken and engine was leaking oil. The alternator belt was under warranty but Hyundai refused to do the work saying it was caused by the water pump. I had all belts and water pump replaced in 2013. That was about 80,000 to 100,000 miles. That means I had no need for a new timing belt. The dealer's technician only recommended replacing expensive parts but not what was needed. They charged me $800+ for 3 new belts, spark plugs and pc valve. Two mechanics I spoke to said the water pump is replaced at the same time the timing belt is replaced usually. But the Hyundai dealer failed to do that. Costing me my car to smoke on the highway and alternator belt to break. . More
