We were just about 4-5 hours away from home and we suppose to return to work next day. Since we’ve called for appointment until our departure, Mr. Charles Richardson, the Assistant Service Manager, helped and guided us, under the existing conditions, to the best options for us, giving us a great support in organizing a fast repair at the top Hyundai standards. Reality check needed if you want to shop here I contacted the Lia of Albany dealership after encountering problems with their sister dealership in Enfield, CT in buying a leftover 2013 Hyundai tha I contacted the Lia of Albany dealership after encountering problems with their sister dealership in Enfield, CT in buying a leftover 2013 Hyundai that the Albany store had on their lot. The guys in Enfield gave me a really hard time about not wanting to buy something new off of their lot and refused to get the car I wanted from Albany. So I told them I would deal with Albany directly and I called the Albany store. I spoke with a sales rep on the phone and we agreed on the price of the car I wanted almost immediately. I told him I would be driving the 110 miles from CT the next day to view the car and place a cash deposit in it while they looked at my trade-in. He assured me that the car would be cleaned up and ready for my arrival, and I told him the car was sold if they would give me a reasonable allowance on my trade in. The next day, I drove over 2 hours to the Albany Lia dealership and was handed over to a young kid who demonstrated the car like I had never seen one. I told him I had made it clear on the phone that I wasn't here for a sales pitch, I already wanted to buy the car. I knew that a sales manager had been driving it (750 miles on it) but I was surprised to see that it was pretty filthy...crumbs and debris on the floors, it hadn't been washed at all in what looked like a couple of weeks. The kid had no idea that I had already made a deal for the price and then he handed me off to another, more seasoned sales rep to talk trade-in. They looked at my car for less than 5 minutes...literally, and a third guy sat down and offered my $2500 on a car worth between $7500 - 10,000 TRADE-IN value in several car value guides Kelly's, NADA, Edmund's). I thought he was joking with me. I drove all that way after settling the price of the car I wanted so they could jerk me around like this? I have a suspicion that someone from the Lia dealership in Enfield, CT called ahead and told them I would be coming up to see this car and they set me up to either take a really bad deal on a trade-in or go 110 miles back home empty handed. I can't prove this, of course, but it all seemed a bit contrived. Bottom line: even if the trade-in offer was legit, these guys are looking to rob people and won't make a reasonable offer, that is my experience. Reading a lot of other reviews of Lia dealerships on other web sites tells me it was not just me having sour grapes, they really are not a reputable business. Avoid the headaches and find a dealership who really wants to work for your business, 'cause it aint these guys! More
About a year ago i leased a new car from this dealership. My experience was good during this purchase. HOWEVER, i was talked into buying a maintenance plan for an extra monthly payment which would take care My experience was good during this purchase. Upon purchase of this plan i was explained that i would be reimbursed for any maintenance expense incurred outside their dealership as i was about to move out of state. This first time i had to get an oil change i talked to the Financial Specialist at LIA and she said to go ahead and send the reciept and she would reimburse me. Well since i sent the reciept i have recieved no Reimbursement or even a response from the Financial Specialist. I have no tried calling multiple times and she never seems to be in the office. I have called the Sales manager and have gotten no response. I have emailed multiple people even the General Manager and have gotten no response. I had high reviews of this dealeship until this utter lack of DISCRESPECT. I would simply like to find out what going on but apparently I am not worth their time now that i am out of state. The minute i am back in NY i will be stopping by the dealship and requesting my money back or going to court against them. JUST BE CAREFULL WHAT THEY TALK YOU INTO BECAUSE THEY WONT HOLD UP THEIR WORD. More
My son was looking to buy a used car with bad credit, he knew he would have a high interest rate and he had 4,000 to put down on a 11,000 dollar used car. I went as well and I talked to Derrick about knocking the price down 1,000 dollars because it was a president's day sale he said he would get as much off as he could with his manager. Then he said my son could get financed and wanted me to co-sign which I told him I have bad credit as well and don't work, but he said I they don't check so do it because I was gonna insure the car for my son. So I did and then one of his managers came over and wanted proof, which Derrick said I didn't need. So we waited for 2 hours for him to get financing and still nothing. Derrick said to come back Tuesday and it was Saturday so we wouldn't have to wait around. Derrick gave me a paper with the vin # so I could call my insurance company to insure it. He said he would call my son Saturday or someone would call him Saturday before closing no one did and here it is Monday and still no one has called him. My son called twice today and got only voice mail with no return call. I feel this sales person is not professional and don't know his stuff and he said he has been doing this for 12 years. Apparently this company does not want to make a sale. I know myself it don't take 4 days to get approved for an auto loan. Nor does it take 3 days for a dealer ship to return a call. More

I was even able to negotiate a reduced price for the optional pre-payment of services and clear coating for my car. Even after I bought my car, Curtis followed up with emails and phone calls to make sure I was completely happy. I had some trouble with my bluetooth connecting and came back and Curtis showed me again how to connect my phone. I also lost one of my keys and had to order a new fob and Curtis made sure it was programmed for free. More

I think the best feature of Lia's service is that every time I have been there, as in my routine scheduled maintenance, or an oil change, they make me feel as though they are glad to see me and they appreciate my business. That is often not the case in many businesses. I bought the car I take to them from them and I will most likely buy another car from them in a year or so. More

I went to Lia Hyundai to purchase a 2011 Sonata and to take advantage of the .9% financing. My salesman, Jason Cosmo, was very helpful in showing me what was available. The only problem that we had was finding a basic Sonata(without all the "bells and whistles") that was available in silver for immediate delivery. After meeting with the sales manager, Jon Kirschman, they found that a Sonata, meeting my needs, was coming in that weekend on a "swap". I had checked the Consumer Reports pricing and I felt that I received a very fair price. My new car had rather high mileage for a new vehicle because it had been "swaped" between a couple of dealerships in western New York and then was driven to Albany, New York. When I voiced concern about this, the general manager,Michael Bowers, gave me a voucher for future use for service on the vehicle. I felt that in every way,Lia Hyundai went that "extra mile" to accommodate me. More
