This morning was a great experience bringing my car in for maintenance and battery chain. The dealership sold me on service I later learned I didn't need, and I was misinformed about how long the additional service would take (was told one additional hour and it took two). It took a half hour to do a six mile road test and car wash, and when the car was returned there were greasy handprints on the hood and my seat settings were all out of place. It took three hours for what should have been a basic oil change, it cost me $460, and it took up nearly my entire workday. Shame on me, because I've had issues here in the past, but I keep going back. My service advisor was a nice guy, but I didn't have two additional hours to spend at the dealership, and I made the mistake of trusting the dealership's recommendation about additional service - it was an unnecessary upsell. I stood there for a couple minutes before I asked someone where the cashier was. They informed me my advisor was my cashier and he sits “ over there”. When I finally found his name tag, I discovered his “ lunch” tag on his keyboard. After wandering a little more I walked into an office asking for help.
