I wish I could give a higher rating because Cody, the service writer, did such a great job. He is very personable and friendly probably because his dad, also a service writer, trained him well. I bought my 2010 Lexus RX 350 AWD with 159XXX miles from Gavin Lam on December 30, 2023. This vehicle had to go through the Lexus of Pleasanton pre-purchase inspection. So, all mechanical including suspension inspections completed. I was informed that the tires were at 6/32nds of an inch. I bought six oil changes for $395 and after about 8 months and 2000 miles of driving, I decided, why not have an oil change performed. While getting my oil change performed, the mechanic sends me a video to my phone. As the mechanic is narrating, he states suspension is bad and tires are bald. [Mind you, this is the same mechanic who stated my previous Lexus NX had a water pump leak, which there wasn't, which caused me to call the Bureau of Auto Repair (BAR)] So, how in only 2000 miles of driving, does that make the tires now bald? No harsh driving, basically, to the local 24 Hour Fitness and back home. So, Cody comes in to the waiting area and asks if I received the video from the mechanic. I said yes and told him that I take the information received with a grain of salt. I don't believe the mechanic's assessment and Cody kindly gives me the 411 on what next steps are and that October is tire sale month. Cody finishes the documentation and hands me a copy of to keep and hands me the keys. Thanks Cody. More
