I was encouraged by the sales staff to let their detailing specialist, Michael, have a look at it. Michael made time around my schedule, was extremely helpful, and had me in and out of his shop in 30 minutes. He knows his stuff and is very particular about his work. Lexus RX330 On 5/27th I brought my Lexus RX330 for service to the Lexus of Marin Repair Shop as the Check Engine Light was on and VSC light. After the car was di On 5/27th I brought my Lexus RX330 for service to the Lexus of Marin Repair Shop as the Check Engine Light was on and VSC light. After the car was diagnose it was found that the cylinder #4 had a misfire therefore requiring a replacement. Once the work was completed and returned, I went home and started my car the next morning and the light came on again. I called Lexus Representative to inform them that day and returned the car. Once the diagnose was completed I was informed that my engine would require a total replacement as the coolant had gone into the engine which had a crack and the piston blew a rod therefore not allowing the engine to function. Needless to say from the 1st diagnostic to the 2nd I was taken back and upset as this became a BIG nightmare for me. Sidebar: I had just finally paid my last car note in January 2015 and thought I would be able to enjoy my car for a while by keeping it maintained. As a result, I wish to extend a BIG thank you for the professional manner your team demonstrated in assisting me in my major road block for the repair of my damaged engine. I can truly say that Peter Burkhardt (Service Manager) and Mike Mueller (Service Mechanic) went the extra mile to ensure that my nightmare could be lighten by finding a preowned engine to replace and the out of pocket expense to be workable. Usually for a female it’s discouraging in dealing with car repairs as we are not as experience in that spectrum however Peter not only explained the situation but asked me to come down to see the damaged engine. Mike was another blessing to locate an engine that could be used to replace it. I can truly say everything associated with repairing my vehicle was a good experience that is exceptional in the world we live in today. The service by Michael in the detailing area was incredible. I went into the detailing are because I was not having any luck removing grease from my interior.
