I had a very disappointing experience buying a used Tesla at Lexus of Madison. First, they need to be more upfront about the conditions of their used cars. I was driving 2.5 hours to purchase this car, so it's not like I could just pop in to take a look. Scratches and the fact that it had a protective film that is slightly peeling should have been mentioned, especially when I point blank asked Anthony, (my sales person), if there was anything else I should know about the car. I even pointed out what I thought were little chips along the Frunk during my in person inspection, which Anthony only told me after I signed all the paperwork and wrote the check, that he didn't think they were chips but that the protective coating that the previous owner installed was peeling. He didn't think to mention this when I was pointing out what I thought were chips? Seems a little deceitful to me. However, the worst part was NOT having the Tesla charged up enough to get me back home. Lexus of Madison had the car for over 48 hours before the pickup time so they had plenty of time, even with a slow charger to put adequate miles on it to get me home. Their solution was to take me to the Tesla dealer down the street and have them help me set up my Tesla account so I could super charge it myself. That was very frustrating and inexcusable. After such a poor experience, I repeatedly told Anthony how disappointed I was, and yet they sent emails and texts thanking me for the opportunity to serve me? Just a form letter that didn't apologize for the poor service? Very unimpressed! I expected a lot more from a Lexus dealership. So a word of warning to anyone who isn't a local customer thinking about buying a used car here... DON'T! More
Superior service. All I expect from Lexus and more. Days after purchasing a 2018 ES350 on Nov. 22, the radio/nav/media died. Had to purchase it elsewhere bc inventory is so tight. I took it to Lexus of Madison for diagnosis bc our family purchased last two Lexuses there. They immediately recognized, then diagnosed and confirmed the problem. They have ordered replacement part to repair it, all under warranty. They even replaced my license plate frames at my request. Extra care, expertise, luxury quality personnel. Lucas/service dept. Even though I ended up not buying the vehicle, Kyle was great to work with. He went the extra mile to get all the information I needed, and to arrange a very competitive deal. We just ended up going a different way because of an option the car didn't have, but frankly I would have preferred to buy a car from Kyle. Definitely recommendable. More
It was a beautiful dealership! Kevin Bossenbroek was our advisor and he was outstanding!!! If he didn’t know the answer, he would either find it or find someone who did know.
