What a horrible experience. I made an appointment on Tuesday for an 80k mile service on Friday. They had three days notice that I was bringing the car in. I dropped the car off I made an appointment on Tuesday for an 80k mile service on Friday. They had three days notice that I was bringing the car in. I dropped the car off at 8:15 in the morning and I was told work would be complete by 2:15 in the afternoon. I was going out of town and I had to be back by 5 PM to pick up the car since I work weekends and needed it. At 3:30 I’d still not heard from the dealership about the completion of the work so I called and they told me they had not even pulled it into the shop yet and it would not be ready. They would be keeping it for the weekend. I told him this is unacceptable as I work weekends and need a vehicle, I would have appreciated some communication much earlier that the work could not be completed on that visit, I would have rescheduled. They did offer to let me use a loaner car, but could not match the size of car I already drove. I made it back to the dealership around 430 and just asked for my car back. I was not offered to reschedule the service. I immediately called a Volkswagen dealership in Arlington and they were able to schedule me the following week and complete the work the same day. I will not be back to Lewisville Volkswagen. More
