ABOVE and BEYOND! Tyler Treinen is Da Man! Long story short, I've been researching and looking for a specific 2017 Platinum F350 (considered a 250, too) since December 2016. I've contacted multiple dealers across the country via in person visits, phone calls, e-mail, and Internet research. But I hadn't found my truck yet, so I was still looking. This is how I came to meet Tyler Treinen at Lewis Ford Lincoln of Hays. My interaction w/Lewis Ford Lincoln of Hays came about as I was driving cross country from FL to CO. While about 45 miles east of Hays, KS, I was talking on the phone with my wife (in CO) about the new F350s, and she mentioned there were some really good dealerships in KS. Although I'd already passed Salina, my wife found a 5 STAR, very highly rated dealership very close to where I was--THIS one. As I was still in the market for a new truck, I called this dealership and was transferred to Sales, where Tyler Treinen answered the phone. I stopped at a rest stop so we could talk about what I was looking for, etc. What ensued from this first contact were multiple phone calls, texts, e-mails, etc., while Tyler tried everything he could think of to find me "the" truck I was looking for (it doesn't exist thus far, from anywhere (everywhere) I've looked--Platinum w/EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERY option, including 8 foot bed and "Premium Vinyl Floor"). Tyler, however, contacted dealers in Omaha, NE, Topeka, KS, his own extended inventory store, about 1.5 hour south, and more, etc. He talked to his managers and leveraged nearly every resource imaginable. He tried everything he could to find me this elusive truck. Did he find it? No. It doesn't seem to exist at this juncture. Not his fault in the least. But the efforts he made and the constant communication with me were absolutely amazing, exponentially above and beyond. Without question. I've never had service like that before, from anyone, anywhere!!! Regardless of the fact that Tyler couldn't locate this truck--it wasn't available at the Woodhouse store in Omaha, either, one of the largest in the US (they'd have to look for it somewhere else in another state, too, and I don't believe they found the exact vehicle I'm looking for), Tyler continued to try, even suggesting that they could trailer the truck from somewhere else if they could locate it. He was willing to do pretty much whatever it took to find me this truck. But it wasn't to be found. There is one in Utah... but it has the short bed, not the 8' bed. Bummer! Three and a half to four hours later--I was still at the rest stop--we both conceded that we were unable to find the truck (I had been contacting dealers, too, from Utah to Florida). So... not so short a story, but a refreshingly upbeat, positive one, regarding my interaction with Tyler. I wish this review had 10 stars so I could give ‘em ALL (of course, we all know, “This one goes to ELEVEN!”) THANKS, Tyler, for everything you did, for answering all my questions, for being so very patient with my very particular requirements for my new truck. I honestly wish you could’ve found it, because I would have SINCERELY and without hesitation given you my business. Thanks again. P.S. People reading, this… If you’re in the market for a new Ford (truck or whatever)…. Yeah, I’d say BUY A CAR FROM THIS STORE—from Tyler Treinen, specifically! More
