I took my vehicle in for service. When they pulled the car into the shop they damaged my rear quarter panel. I will say the repair was done excellently. I did receive a loaner. That said when I left the dealership I noticed that they must have disconnected battery as my windows were not going up automatically and that the radio was not working. I knew how to fix the window issue by holding the window button up, but they should have checked before returning the car. I contacted the dealership as soon as I got home. I received a text suggesting I disconnect the battery and see if that would help. They also stated I should bring it back if I was uncomfortable with this procedure. I left for vacation the next day. When I returned 20 days later I tried the disconnecting the battery to no avail and scheduled an appointment. They could not get the radio to work. They quoted me $1399 to get a refurbished non-navigation radio head. They also gave me a number for the Customer Advocacy Department. I called and started a claim. This is where the problem started. Rebecca from Customer Advocacy Department could not get a response from the dealership. Finally after over a week I called my service rep and left a detailed message with Rebecca's contact. Rebecca replied back that day that as a one time gesture they would pay $1000 to the cost of the repair. When I called the dealership to schedule a a replacement I was told there would be months lead time if they ordered it that day. I declined, because I did not want to ride around for months waiting for a refurbished unit and chose to repair the radio I did not break myself. I made some calls and I could have my radio head repaired for $400. $1399 was a ridiculous high price for a refurbished radio that was damaged while the car was in for service. More
