I made an appointment with Aubrey Seller at the Lehigh Valley Hyundai;I was 10 minutes late and was asked to wait which I gladly did. I was given to a very nice young man who knew very little of the car: Told me the color I wanted was discontinued, it wasn’t; didn’t know how to use the Navigation System; showed me a 2011 car which he swore was a 2012 until we showed him the sticker; could not tell me the differences between the different models; thought the hybrid was a turbo, etc. Regardless, having seen my friend’s car I was sold on the Sonata Limited. We started working on price; I was putting over a 50% deposit. After some negotiation the salesman suggested a price which he would confirm with his sales manager. The sales manager, Richard returned and told me his lowest price; it was $700 higher than the sales person’s price. I questioned that and was informed the salesman was “new and didn’t know what he was saying” and there demand for the Sonatas were so high “if I could find a better price I should go there”. I was shocked. Not only had I been left to wait but my business was not wanted. I left. After talking to the friend who had originally recommended Lehigh Valley Hyundai, I contacted the original salesperson Aubrey Seller and told him what transpired. He apologized and told me he would make the experience better by finding the car I wanted. I told him that according to the inventory listing there were two available in Conshohocken. He said if I agreed to X price, he would get it BUT I needed to put a deposit down immediately. I agreed and gave my credit card #. A week I went to fill a credit application in person (the website is not secured, it is not https) and spoke to Travis (a sales manager). He told me Aubrey would be contacting me the next day and I would be picking up my Sonata Limited on Friday, “Congratulations”. On Wednesday night, Aubrey called to tell me he couldn’t get me the color I wanted, the car he had suggested was a demo but to pick something else. I was in shock and could not properly think. Aubrey strongly suggested another color or model. I told him I was too disappointed to react. He then proceeded to tell me I was “inflexible”. I explained to him that I had almost lost my life and had built up my hopes and if I was being “inflexible” it was my right, I was the customer and I was paying. He told me to change to the GLS it was the same as the Limited except without the bells and whistles. According to him I needed to make a decision no later than the next morning so he could have the car for me on Friday. I told him, “I don’t buy shoes without trying them on, why would I buy a car without driving it”. I even suggested it felt like a “bait and switch”. After much discussion I told him to rescind the sale. He wasn’t sure if he could but the next day confirmed it was cancelled. Perhaps if Lehigh Valley Hyundai had not been so disrespectful, I might have been more “flexible”. More

Zaheer Datoo provides the most pleasureable car buying experience of any salesperson EVER! (And I am 59 years old and have bought lots of cars.) My wife connected with him by "liking" Hyundai on Facebook experience of any salesperson EVER! (And I am 59 years old and have bought lots of cars.) My wife connected with him by "liking" Hyundai on Facebook and then in response to some post, expressing her frustration that we had been unable to find through our local dealers in North Carolina the blue Sonata Hybrid with premium package that we had been looking for. Zaheer had the car and was so great to deal with that we reached a long-distance agreement to drive about 1200 miles roundtrip to PA to get the car. We were treated very fairly on our trade-in also. While we were there, my wife spotted a Veracruz in the showroom and, to make a long story short, after we returned to NC, we started thinking about trading her SUV in as well. We looked around at several dealers here, including different vehicles, but kept coming back to the Veracruz sitting in PA. Once again, we reached a deal with Zaheer via long distance, and so off to PA we went for the second time in less than two weeks. Bottom line is, we bought two new cars from Zaheer and traded him two of ours over a period of about 11 days, driving about 2400 miles in the process, and we enjoyed every aspect of the transactions. I would recommend Zaheer Datoo and Lehigh Valley Hyundai without reservation to anyone who is interested in having a great car buying experience. More

The staff are always courteous, professional and extremely friendly. I have never experienced this type of service with any other car dealer I have dealt with. Their prices are very fair and competitive, and the work is always done well. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
