Friendly and Helpful I did my homework online before going to the dealership. Therefore, I only test drove one vehicle. The salesman, Rich, was amazed that I did not want to drive others. Prior to my test drive, I was able to chat online with someone at the dealership. I asked questions and set up a test drive for the following day. Right away someone was trying to call me on the phone. THAT was annoying. I did not answer, and the dealership tried to call me two more times within the hour. I sent another chat to the person I was connecting with to ask that they stop calling me because I would be there the next day. Remember, regardless of the friendliness, they are working on commissions and tend to be overbearing very quickly. After having the vehicle for two weeks, I am still thrilled with my purchase. I bought a Santa Fe (2015) as recommended by my mechanic father. One reason I gave a 4 star was that I wanted them to put in a car starter, but they said it would cost them $900, which is NOT true--or if it is, they overcharge for this particular service. I can get a car starter installed by a local reputable business for $300. They did take off another $250 because they were "splitting the cost of a starter with us." Another reason I gave 4 stars is that I had again done my homework and went online to some financial institutions in which I do business. I got car loan rates and payments. Thankfully, I printed out the information. I was quoted a rate over 6% at the dealership; however, I had a rate from Chase Bank for a bit over 3%. The dealership honored the rate I was quoted by Chase Bank. Again, if someone is just going in blind, that person would pay more. Another thing that people may not know, and this may/may not only pertain to this dealership. I had cash to put down on the car, but I wanted to use my credit card in order to get the points. The dealership is only authorized to charge up to $2500 on a credit card for the down payment. This is understandable; however, I was unprepared. Thus, I did have to go to a bank and get a cashier's check (which is a fee of $10) for the remaining money that I wanted to put down. This was my fault for not considering this issue or calling and asking. They did give me my first oil change for free. However, I don't know if I'll go back after that considering that they overcharge for the starter. Are they going to overcharge for regular maintenance services as well? In the end, the dealership and sales personnel are good. They are friendly and helpful. But remember, they are working on commission. So do your homework, so you have a more pleasant experience and get the best price and interest rate. More
