Somewhat positive sales experience in past but mixed results with service. On 2/7/23 brought 2019 HRV in because Apple Carplay would no longer connect. All diagnostics with Apple pointed to the need for a reset of the system by Honda. Service Advisor Dante Mancini was immediately condescending upon arrival. Before I even stepped out of the car he assured me the problem was the cables I have successfully used for 2 years. Then he said the problem was my “old phone” which is an iphone 8 which also worked fine with Carplay until a month ago. I told him there was a recall on the sound system of which he was unaware. He then told me they would need to keep the car for the entire day (we live a considerable distance away and had to make 2 round trips). The recall and reset of the system were complete in 1 1/2 hours so we would have waited. When I went to pick up the car Dante greeted me with “so you need a new phone!” He also expressed concern for my ability to walk to my car in the parking lot (twice) - a clear age reference. Btw I walk several miles every day. My old phone and original cable worked just fine once the system was reset. I texted Dante to let him know but he never responded. More
